What a great fast food burger. I was fortunate enough make McDonalds band in 1985 and snarfed many a McDLT on our trips. In its era, most fast food burgers sat under a hot lamp waiting for a customer, while the lettuce got wilted and the tomatoes melted. The mustard, catsup and mayo soaked into the bun and the final combination was a soggy, dreadful mess. The McDLT was a remarkably crisp alternative and was a blast to eat.
