I have a great memory of Kabangers (that's what we used to call them in NJ)! My family was on the boardwalk in Asbury Park and there was a stand where you could win them - the really nice colorful glass ones. My sis and I begged my Dad to win us some. Well, we tried but we couldn't win. I will never forget walking away from the stand hearing the clacking all the way down the boardwalk. We were so sad! So we ended up getting them at another time - they weren't the glass ones - mine were Neon Pink & Neon Yellow. Man, the bruises I had on my arm. I can still feel the pain of that ball hitting the side of my wrist bone!! I would play until I couldn't take the pain anymore until I got smart and used my roller skating knee pads as a wrist guard. Then there was no stopping me...well until my parents couldn't stand the noise anymore! I want a glass pair!!!
