88-89 (and even 90) was a time when a fella can chill in front of his brownstone or walk into a party wearing biker shorts, be complimented on his style and not get laughed at! I had a few pairs that were black and had the big stripes or NIKE written on the sides in bold or neon colors. But the get up wasn't complete without a matching NIKE windbreaker, red or blue Air Jordans (depending on which pair of shorts I'd wear), some Kool Moe Dee shades and the hightop fade! If Bobby Brown and Teddy Riley rocked that style then it had to be Fresh!
