These were the rage when I was in third grade circa 1983. I had the "Magnum PI" car which wasn't the ferarri but a gold colored sports car that resembled a 28OZ. I figured out that if you stuck a paperclip in the back you could get hold of the spring and stretch it out. Then your car would really fly. I had a big edge racing the other kids until they say what I was doing.....Ah.. those were fun times.
