I had a Neat Teen Walking Doll as a child. She was manufactured by the Eugene Doll company. I got her in like 1986 or 1987. I still have it with its box. She is about 32 inches tall, and resembles a pre-teen, complete with a horrible looking 1980's turqouise sweater skirt, white tights, and black Mary Jane shoes. She did not walk by her self, I discovered that she has a mechanism built into her legs that makes them "step" forward when one leg was placed on the floor, and the body was tilted. I think that these play-pal type dolls were realy popular during the 50's and 60's(my mother had one) and slowly went out of production in the late 90's. She is a gorgeous African American doll, with sleep eyes, flawless face-paint, and a head full of black curls. She has weird amber colored eyes. She is still in great condition, after surviving the wrath of my cousins(the doll killers). I'm pretty sure she will be an awesome collector's piece in a few more years.
