I used to work at a Rax (in northern Indiana) when I was in high school in the mid-'80s. Had really good roast beef sandwiches and a good salad bar with a nacho/taco bar section. The best sandwich to me was the "Beef-Bacon-Cheddar". It was awesome. They also had baked potatoes with various toppings. From what I've learned from searching on the web the chain was bought out by a different company at some point and just almost completely run into the ground. There aren't many of them left compared to what there used to be.
