I've had the same experience as Bobby B. I grew up in New Paltz, not far from Newburgh, and Sweet Orrs were totally the thing. When I've mentioned them to friends my age who grew up elsewhere, I've often gotten weird looks and responses such as, "What's a Sweet Ore?" Mentioned Sweet Orrs today to a co-worker who grew up in Newburgh and was delighted she knew what I was talking about!
