"Don't You (Forget About Me)", Favorite Songs from Movies, Index
Movies in the eighties had some of the best soundtracks, and the most memorable and popular songs at the time seem to have sometimes outshone the movies themselves. As I get time I'll add more songs to this list, feel free to send me your additions to the list. If you want, try and list which scene during the movie the song appears during. Oh, and the whole "Valley Girl" soundtrack get's an honorable mention since it's packed full of great eighties songs. I also rank and review other eighties soundtracks on my Soundtracks of the Eighties Page in case you are interested.

"Road To Nowhere" by The Talking Heads used in the movie Little Monsters
Great movie.
"Walking On Sunshine" by Katrina and The Waves used in the movie The Secret Of My Success
Would have thought this would already be listed.
"We Don't Need Another Hero" by Tina Turner used in the movie Mad Max: Beyond Thunder Dome
Hardest working legs in show business.
"Secret Loser" by Ozzy Osbourne used in the movie The Wraith
It's OZZY !!!! The car in the movie was the fastes car of its kind at the time. It was originally supposed to be a Pace-Car for NASCAR.
"Johnny B. Goode" by Mark Campbell and The Starlighters used in the movie Back To The Future
Michael J. Fox didn't really sing this in the movie or on the soundtrack.
"Eye Of The Tiger" by Survivor used in the movie Rocky 3
I can't believe this wasn't already listed.
"Dead Man's Party" by Oingo Boingo used in the movie Back To School
Really good band, and a really good song.
"He's Back (The Man Behind The Mask)" by Alice Cooper used in the movie Jason Lives:Friday The 13th Part 6
It's Alice Cooper, enough said.
"Cry Little Sister" by Gerard McMann used in the movie The Lost Boys
One of the best vampire movies ever...Has a few good songs on the soundtrack.
"Whenever There's A Night" by Mike Reno used in the movie Dream A Little Dream
Great 80's movie song..Great 80's movie soundtrack.
"Rock On" by Michael Damian used in the movie Dream A Little Dream
One of my favorite movies of all time...Great song on a great 80's soundtrack.
"Shocker" by The Dudes Of Wrath used in the movie Shocker
Catchy song...Good movie...One of Wes Cravens best I think
""The Secret Of My Success "" by Night Ranger used in the movie The Secret Of My Success
(can't remember what scene - opening and/or end credits?)
"Live To Tell" by Madonna used in the movie At Close Range
One of the most under rated movies of the 80's. The idea of using just the instrumental track throughout the movie was perfect.(The idea was also used by "Titanic" with "My Heart Will Go On"!)I'm not a big Madonna fan, but this is one of her bestsongs ever.
"Reach Out and Take It" by Cheap Trick used in the movie Heavy Metal
I tend to be fans of a single song from some bands that I'm otherwise apathetic about, and it's usually a song that sounds unlike their other work. This one started that way, but I've warmed up to Cheap Trick since then. Crank this one to 11, especially the wicked opening.
"Is It Love" by Mr. Mister used in the movie Stakeout
End credits
