Description
Sort of squishy foam ball with bizarre faces molded and painted on. One was a huge eye, one was a green fellow with injuries and a metal plate etc etc.

My brother had all of these. Unfortunately one of our dogs ate them. I remember there were cartoons of this too.

I remember this was the first toy that made me realize advertisors lied. I was 7-8 and saw the commercial where kids were playing with them, having fun scaring everyone. I just had to have one. I pestered my parents and they gave me extra chores to earn some money for it. After saving up enough I went out and bought one. I played with it for about a hour and realized it was no where near as fun as the commerical made it seem. I even brought it to school the next day and all my friends thought it was cool at first as well, but soon tired of it.

I found one of my old ones recently and it looks to have fared as well as the SkullFace in the picture- it was seriously falling apart, practically disintegrating. I have the three "special" ones from the recent re-release.

Wasn't there a version of these that had bodies? You put the head onto a peg and pressed a button and the head would fly off the body.

The comics that were part of the surge were so corny and full of puns that they literally dripped with humor. I still had good laughs reading them
