Top Ten Lists of Eighties Movies

The concept is pretty easily, pick your ten favorite movies from the eighties. The hard part? I want JUST movies from the eighties, not movies you might have seen during the eighties. Also, try and avoid movies that came out after the eighties if possible, 1990 is pretty borderline, I won't scream too loudly if you add one that is from then...

By: Melissa

By: Scott Vanderburgh
  • 10. The Lost Boys
I don't think any other movie( besides Evil Dead 2 )fuses horror and comedy as well. Kiefer Sutherland is truly freaky in this movie.
  • 9. Pretty in Pink
It may be sappy and predictable, but hey, it's a John Hughes movie! On a side note, I don't want to sound like a "Duckie" basher, but what's with the hair?

What can I say? Christian Slater was my hero in the eighties and this was one of his best.

It may be a "kid" movie, but it's so funny and entertaining that anyone can enjoy it. Kids today are getting the shaft when it comes to movies.

While I may not agree with Helen Slater's haircut halfway through the movie, I can't deny how entertaining this one is. Great soundtrack too.
  • 2. Heathers
Just as funny now as when I first saw it. No one can touch Christian Slater's coolness in this movie. Not even Judd Nelson!(Blasphemy!)
  • 1. The Breakfast Club
The eighties movie to end all eighties movies! This one has it all. Comedy, drama, and Judd Nelson as John Bender!
I have a strange definition of an eighties movie that i don't even understand. That's why movies like The Empire Strikes Back and Evil Dead 2 didn't make this list.I love these movies, but don't consider them eighties movies. That may sound stupid, but hey, I'm a stupid guy!
