Crowded House, "Crowded House" / 1986 Review by: Peter Jackson
This has to be one of the greatest albums ever created. It is simply amazing and completely underrated, from the downright captivating vocal and lyrical performance of Neil Finn to the exquisite musical accompanyment.

This is Crowded House's debut album, one that can never be forgotten. If not for the over-rated bands from the baby-boomer era (for example- The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, etc.- you know what I'm talking about, you probably laughed too when you heard the music of these average-at-best bands after hearing all the hype. In reality, they're not that great.)it perhaps would receive the recognition it deserves. It should be an instant classic, one that can be listened to from start to finish over and over again.

If you own this cd, take a close listen to the tracks you may not have heard. The rythm and melody of "Now Where Getting Somewhere" is simply addictive. The musical quality is unsurpassed by anything I have heard in a long time. There is no doubt about it, a lot of work went into this album, and it simply isn't getting the recognition as a classic that it deserves.
