I've just bought this album and on one listen found it too indulgent on first listen, but I found it admirable in its quest. No doubt more listens are in order, but i much prefer the pop-stylings of the subsequent (and not preceding, as "Mr. Amusement" stated) Punch the Clock album, given a sneak preview on IB with You Little Fool. This track seems too be too readily dismissed because of this leaning, but it's the highlight for me sofar. Thus, Punch The Clock would be my 80s pick i think.. despite what others say of it.. including Elvis himself! Cheers Ross
