Level 42, "Running in the Family" / 1987 Review by: Patrick Hodges
Of this groups dozen or so albums, this one, pound for pound, is their best. Tracks such as "Lessons in Love" and "Running In the Family" will have you nodding in rhythm despite yourself. And the slower-paced songs "It's Over", "Two Solitudes", "The Sleepwalkers" and "Freedom Someday", although suffering at times from hokey lyrics, are engaging and memorable. But the cream of this crop is "To Be With You Again"; just listen to the separate yet distinct verses sung both by lead vocalist Mark King and backup vocalist Mike Lindup, and you'll be hooked. And oustanding effort.

9 out of 10.
