    About 1 hour NE of Pittsburgh, Wednesday nights, '80s Night is Ladies Night. Best bar in Indiana (nice college town) with great food and a huge beer selection. No cover, $4.00 pitchers, $1.00 shots, and a great DJ.
  • Nocturne Wednesdays - Philadelphia, PA
    Philadelphia's longest running weekly club event (every Wednesday night since 1996). Three rooms, one of which is 80s/synthpop/new wave, one of which is modern industrial and electronic, and one of which blends all of the above and adds some alternative music to the mix.     WERG Energy FM 90, 9:00pm-12:00mid EST, I host this show. Bob's Musical Yearbook counts down the top 15 songs from a particular week in the 1980's. Hour two and three are requests and dedications. I also spotlight different topics each week by playing one spotlight each half hour (i.e. last week I spotlighted comedians like Sam Kinison, Rodney Dangerfeild and others). I play a game I call the 10 second recognition were I play the first ten seconds of a song and see if my listeners can guess what it is.(i.e. last week I played ten seconds of "fantasy" by Aldo Nova). Next is the 10:50 forgotten 80's track were I play a top 40 song that hasn't been played in a long time. (i.e. last week I played "stranger in my house" by Ronnie Milsap). Then there is the 11:30 doubleshot. Self explanitory. (i.e. last week I played "party all the time" and "put your mouth on me" by Eddie Murphy). finally there is what I call Gooch's pick. My friend Gooch knows more obscere music then anybody I know and every week he picks out one!
