Top Ten Lists of Eighties Movies

The concept is pretty easily, pick your ten favorite movies from the eighties. The hard part? I want JUST movies from the eighties, not movies you might have seen during the eighties. Also, try and avoid movies that came out after the eighties if possible, 1990 is pretty borderline, I won't scream too loudly if you add one that is from then...

    John Hughes best film, perfectly captures the angst of teens
  • 1. Santa Sangre
    one of the most disturbing movies I have ever seen, and on top of that, if you look close you can see two insane retarded men making out in one of the asylum scenes. It's originaly out of Mexico, may be hard to find, but worth it.

80's movies are the absolute best. I couldn't think of all of my favorites, then again, there isn't room to list them all. All of my favorite movies came from the 80's. The 80's were filled with some of the best music as well.

    Another great dark comedy starring Tom Hanks---funny and weird.

    The best car chase of any movie ever. Funny with a great cast and soundtrack.

    Great dark comedy---I think you have to be a little off to get it.
  • 5. Say Anything
    "Don't be a guy...be a man." Great date movie--John Cusack at his best.
  • 4. Batman
    The original with Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson was the best adaptation of a comicbook ever. Funny, cool, and action packed.
  • 3. Breakfast Club
    Who ever you were, you could identify with a character in this movie. Not to mention the fact that it had some of the funniest dialogue ever.
  • 2. Ferris Buhler's Day Off
    The original teen that couldn't lose. This movie embodied everything that you wanted to do or be while in highschool.
  • 1. Princess Bride
    The best characters in any movie ever. Each has certain little funny quirks that you pick up only after seeing it multiple times.
