Comments:
"Somebody's Watching Me", there used to be a time that just having a
close relative that was a big success almost guaranteed somebody a hit. In
this case it was Michael Jackson, "Sidewalk Talk" (which isn't on here) was
the other one that comes to mind for Madonna and some relative. Of course
the other route to success would be a pop song on a popular movie, like
"Ghostbusters" or "Footloose" (both are on here). This disc is great,
(unlike some of the others in this series like 1980) it is definately for the
pop minded though, certainly not a New Wave compilation by any stretch of the
imagination. The only clinker on here would have to be Kool and the Gang,
these guys deserved to be one hit wonders (though I think this wasn't the
only one, how very sad for the pop world), at least it's at the end of the CD
which makes it easy to tell when it's time to change the cd.
