Before They Were Famous in the Nineties (and now), in the Eighties They Were..., Actors First Names Beginning with T
This is a list of actors from the little and big screen, and the small
roles they had before their big break. I'm not looking for
what a particular actor did outside of acting, I'm looking more for bit
roles and TV commercials. I think you could just write down waiter for
almost any actor if you really wanted to if that were the case.

Tim Robbins was in a USA "Up All Night" type college movie called "Fraternity Vacation", where he played a frat guy named Mother who along with his buddy tried to get their geeky friend laid so his dad would buy them a sauna and a jacuzzi for their frat house. I think the guy who played their rival frat brother (the lackey not the main one) went on to some degree of fame as well, though I am not certain.
Tim had a small role as a goody-goody in "The Sure Thing" with John Cusack. He sang show tunes and dressed like Mr. Rogers. He was the one taking "Gib" (John Cusack) to L.A.

Played a martial arts expert, challenging The Fonz on 'Happy Days'.
Tom Hanks appeared in one of the crappy seasons of Happy Days. This was the season with Linda Purl and Ted McGinley, who went on to play Jefferson on Married With Children. In thie episode in question, Hanks plays a guy who was beat up by Fonzie as a 6 year old boy. From that moment on, Hanks trains in the martial arts in an attempt to confront Fonzie years later and beat him up. Fonzie lets Hanks hit him, and then kicks him through a window at Arnold's.
