    Cyndi Lauper is the epitome of the 80's, in my opinion. She was sort of like the "alternative" to Madonna. The girls who were more "quirky" than "sexual" could relate to her more, I think. I know I sure did. And this song is just one of those songs that makes you feel good.

I didnt grow up in the 80S I was born in 88 so I didnt get to experience the whole thing I like cyndi lauper the most out of the 80S her wacky style cloths and hair and mtv was I think the biggest thing to happen to music scince woodstock!!!

The 80ies were such a great time (musically)! There was also the "Neue Deutsche Welle" (= New German Wave) her in Germany, a kind of German "New Wave" (sic!) with such acts like Nena, TRIO, UNITED BALLS, UKW, RHEINGOLD, KRAFTWERK... But sadly the times they are a changing....
