Description
It looked like Kix cereal with two styles (white balls and yellow). It tasted a lot like Kix, but a tad sweeter. It had kids on the box doing chin ups and running.

Body Buddies came in a green box (fruit flavored like Trix) and a golden colored box (I think it was like a maple flavor). The fruit flavored one was the best!

Body Buddies was marketed as being a good-for-you cereal. The commercial went a little like this: Body Buddies has 16 vitamins and minerals! Wow! 16? But does Body Buddies taste good?

It did taste kinda like Trix. But this was probably not on the market long because it was marketed as a good-for-you cereal. It's hard for a kid to get excited about a cereal called "Body Buddies" even if it did taste good; they're too busy in the cereal aisle begging Mom to buy Cocoa Puffs.

I remember these! They came in 2 flavors: Maple/Brown Sugar (yellow or tan box), & Fruit (green box). BOTH kinds were quite good!

Question: if one were to mix Trix with Kix would that be a decent approximation of the fruit flavored Body Bodies? I'm having an urge for a stroll down taste memory lane...

I am glad I found this. None of my friends and family remembered this cereal. Glad I'm not crazy. :) Why did they stop making them?

I loved the fruit flavored Body Buddies. No one else seems to remember it, I'm glad people here do because I was wondering if I was going cuckoo. And not cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs ;-P

I loved this cereal but I remember eating this cereal and puking all over my aunt and uncle's floor - I wonder if this had anything to do with them discontinuing the cereal? Did anyone else have a similar experience?

Body Buddies was a great cereal, I had both Brown Suger, and Natural Fruit Flavor. It was then when you may notice most cereals would have 8 to 10 vitamins & minerals. Body Buddies would have 16 vitamins & minerals.

This was our back up cereal, that we got from the food shelf... We only ate it when we ran out of cocoa puffs. It was good though we only got the plain that tasted like kix.

@Jason Same thing happened to me. Ate this one day and threw up. I remember this specifically because it's first time I remember puking. You're not the only one.

I was a little kid when Body Buddies hit the market, and I remember that the first time I saw it in the store, I tried reading the box and said out loud, "Baby Boobies?" Which then made my mom laugh so hard she almost peed her pants right there in the cereal aisle.

Seem to remember the cartoon version of the commercial having a much creepier male narrator, but that was probably just my brother and I mimicking the commercial and laughing about having our Ma buy it. Probably a good cereal, but I'm guessing it's name shot it down with preadolescent boys. Would have been great for a Beavis and Butthead skit though :) Watching the commercial, Beavis does a spit take while Butthead stares blankly at the screen and utters, "Uhhhhhhhh...no" Click to another channel.
