I totally forgot about this cereal until now...I don't think I ever ate it but remember the commercials for it....memories!

Buc-wheats were my favorite cereal as a kid. Nobody that I know remembers the cereal. I wish that I could find the cereal now. I don't even think that they make it anymore.

My taste buds could be lying, but Kelloggs' new Frosted Flakes Gold cereal tastes A LOT like I remember Buc-Wheats tasting.

Try Kellog's SMART START Healty Heart Maple and Brown sugar. I bought some recently and even the smell reminded me of Buc Wheats. Brought back my childhood in a big way :).

NEW cereal!!! Kelloggs Frosted Flakes GOLD. Tastes the closest to what I remember as Buc Wheats. Not Wheat, but still good!

This was my FAVORITE cereal! I loved eating this and really wished they'd bring it back. Thanks for the tips on the other cereal.

I hadn't thought about Buc-Wheats in a long time, and then I had a bowl of Full Circle's Multi Grain Flakes. I think the flakes are a little hardier, but the maple flavor is right on. I purchased Full Circle from my local food co-op, and may also be found at stores like Whole Foods. Also, the cereal does not have a mail-in offer on the back of the box for a Farmer's Almanac (remember that?)

I was razzed by a hardcore BucWheater on another blog for this suggestion, but try Arrowhead Mills Maple Buckwheat Flakes. I think they are the closest thing out there.
