They were like little chocolate frosted Rice Krispies, and the mascot was a cartoon monkey who lived in the jungle. The commercial had him swinging on vines and singing his trademark jingle: "My name is ? and I live in the trees, Everybody loves my Cocoa Krispies!" This was easily my favorite cereal in the late 80's / early 90's!

I didn't know there used to be a tiger on the box. Well, I was born in 1982, so how would I remember. Anyway, I like the monkey a lot better. He's so much cuter

Rice and Frosted Krispies are good but this is better! Imagine making Cocoa Krispie treats out of these. And I think I remember the tiger when I was a kid.

I love this cereal! I still see it for sale every now and then. Not a regular product but it's out there. The rice crispy treat cereal STINKS. Used to be another cereal that was great too...called Rice Krinkles. Remember that one?

MOLLY, Are you interested in buying coin operated horses or spring rocking horses??? They are sold on Ebay. Most spring horses are made by Blazon, Wonder, Flexible Flyer, and Radio Flyer. Feel free to buy as many as you like. Good luck!!! :) Ebay account required.

Kellogg's Cocoa Krispies go back to 1963. The H-B character Snagglepuss was the early endorser. From 1967 to 1970, Ogg the Caveman (stop-motion cartoon)assumed the duties. Most of the 1970s, a cartoon elephant did the pitch, finally replaced by good old Snap, Crackle and Pop.
