Description
There was actually another cereal named Kaboom but it was about clowns in a circus. It had red, green and yellow clown smiley faces in it. We ate it so much we got tired of it!

Kaboom's were the bomb! I loved eating Kaboom's before school and sometimes afterwards when I was a little kid. Sometimes I do see it in the store and I get so happy. Next time, I should pick up a box and relive the memories!!

I always wanted KABOOM but my Mom never bought it for us. Not sure why as we certainly ate plenty of other sugar-loaded cereals back in the day. Maybe she had something against clowns...

Did you notice that Quentin Tarantino used a box of Kaboom as the hiding place for Vernita Green's gun in "Kill Bill Vol. 1" ?

Kaboom had marshmallows. I'm not sure but the marshmallows may have been in a few colors. There was a grocery store near me that carried it at least into the 90s.

Kaboom is still being made. I get it now whenever I come to visit my grandmother in Murrels Inlet, SC. They have it at Piggly Wiggly. If you can get the barcode or something from a website, i think www.upcdatabase.com, and request to carry it at your local grocery store. But if you can't get it, just buy Trix and some of those tiny marshmellows they use in cereal, and mix them together, they are basically the same thing.

I remember that cereal from my childhood and it was nasty. We only got it a few times because no one really liked it. But, I have also seen it recently. I'm pretty sure i've seen it at Piggly Wiggly and Winn-Dixie here in Louisiana. I definitely remember seeing it on a seperate aisle from the other cereals, before they closed one of the local Winn-Dixie's. Now, I have to check another nearby Winn-Dixie, just for the sake of curiosity.

Agreed, Kabooms were nasty. Still recall the taste.

Saw the cereal at a local Super Wal Mart recently here in North Georgia. I bought a box of them and my kids hated them.

I loved Kaboom! It came out again a couple of years ago here in KY. I regret not buying some. It was my favorite cereal as a kid. I wonder if it would still taste as good as I remember? Probably not, but that's not the point. I wish they would bring it out again here.

My husband is dying for me to buy him a box of these. I do remember eating these a LOT when my mom got them on WIC. I don't remember how they tasted though!! Strange...Anyways you can still buy them on Amazon.com or Hometownfavorites.com!!!

kaboom also made my poop green. my mom wouldn't buy it for me anymore after i took a dump on the living room floor that looked like a glow stick from a rave!

I think they sold this cereal at Save-A-Lot a couple of years ago. This cereal was good if you first poured it, but when it got soggy, it was pretty nasty. they changed the box color from yellow to blue I think.

I grew up on Kabooms, Cocoa Pebbles, and Count Chocula. I loved the marshmallows in the Kaboom box. I wish they still made this, I would still be eating it like I do the other two cereals I mentioned.

I remembered coming home on the Holidays when my family and I lived far. My grandmother would buy, KABOOM, and I asked her, what in the world is this cereal? She showed me the box. I think I had like three bowls of that stuff that morning. It was just amazing. They didn't sell this where we lived after asking my parents to buy this for my sisters and I. Just seeing the box just brings back good times in my childhood. YES IT HAD MARSHMALLOWS IN THIS, star shaped.

The thing I loved about Kaboom was all the crazy colors would turn your milk into that creepy color like when you dipped your paintbrush in water...kinda of bluey-gray. I loved that cereal!

As the mother of 2 boys (one of which is Matt W.), I can attest to the fact that Kaboom's 'end results' were never boring & always colorful(!)

Back around 1989, my brother and I looked at each other, said, "Let's eat all the Kaboom!" We poured an entire box of Kaboom into a hat and proceeded to pick the marshmallows out and leave the cereal. Ah, memories. :-)

Kaboom ruled. You people who say it wasnt good have no taste. I wish they still made it, I would gladly pay $10 a box and eat 4 boxes a week! !!!!!

From the Saturday morning cartoon vault, the first Kaboom TV commercial with the clown, voiced to mimic W.C. Fields. Crudely animated, an elephant is made to cling its trunk to a trapeze. This aired on a "Flintstones" rerun over NBC (5/9/69). A second ad in this block was for Lucky Charms and Frosty O's, with small, bendable toys of Lucky, Rocky, Bullwinkle and Underdog, inside boxes.
