I remember this cereal and actually thought it was earlier - maybe 1982/3? In fact, I've talked about this cereal with people (when you have those stupid I Remember The 80s conversations when drunk) and no one has heard of it. One fond memory was substituting milk for actual OJ. Shockingly, it was not very good.

The OJ's cereal box I have (made by Kellogg's) is dated 1985 and was ready sweetened cereal with 10% real orange juice and natural flavors (all the vitamin c of a 4oz glass of orange juice!). The cereal was round puffs and small rings like Cheerios. The cowboy on the front was named OJ Joe. Good stuff that didnt last long on the market. Actually, no orange flavored cereal has!

Best. Cereal. Ever. OJ's, keep those oranges rollin'. I must say though that I miss Strawberry Rice Krispies too. Not the ones with strawberries in it, but the actual pink crisp rice cereal (similar to Cocoa Krispies)

OJ's!!! Man, I'd buy about 10 boxes of these things, as soon as it hit the shelves, if they brought them back. Just to be able to have one more bowl of them.....MMMMMMMMMM

When I was in grade school we were a cereal testing family and out of all the cereals we ate, OJs are the one that has stuck in my mind for the last 25 years, Kellogs needs to try it again!

I remember OJ's! They were VERY "orangey", & VERY good! I wonder if we could petition Kellogg's to re-release them!

I used to love this Cereal when I was a kid in the 80's. It was by far my favorite. I too have fond memories of it. When I ask people older then me if they have heard of it, I get the response: No I never heard of it or I don't remember it.

I remember this cereal when I was a little kid and I got to say that it was definately one of my favorite's. Other kid's in my school as well as myself used to imitate the cowboy on the commercial.

i heard of this cereal back around 1986 so i must have seen and ad or commerical for and asked my mom to send it to me overseas but she couldn't find it so it didn't last long or was only available in certain parts of the US. i remember it but never ate it.

I immediately thought of these when filling out, "Greatest Cereals of All Time." I LOVED the taste and really loved the way they made the milk look and taste after you finished the cereal. Kelloggs, please bring them back, even if you just make some for me.
SZA - April 24, 2009 - Report this comment
Ha ha, I just did 'Greatest Cereals of All Time', and included OJs, too! (Also, Powdered Donutz, Circus Fun, Graham Chex & Pac-Man.)

These things were the greatest! I used to make homemade vanilla milkshakes and put OJ's in the milkshake and eat it with a spoon. It was the Bomb! I would love to have one more bowl of OJ's just to see if they are as good as I remember!

hell yeah, just did a Facebook 5 best cereals. My best memory is the little robot thingy prize you'd get in each box. Cereals are a great way to keep a link to your childhood. Every once in awhile I buy Fruity Pebbles just to have that "Saturday Morning Cartoon Day" feeling.

BEST EVER!!! I remember the commercial and I LOVED THESE THINGS!!! Strange cereal but MAN did they make the milk taste good. I would pay good cash money to get just one more box.

Wow! I consider myself somewhat of a cereal nut and I somehow missed these during the 80's. I was in my early 20's during the 80's BUT I ate tons of cereal. I see a lot of testimony that they were good, but still have a tough time thinking orange in a cereal. I do love to drink OJ though. Interesting.

In YouTube, do a search on Kellogg's OJ Cereal and you find a 1980s TV commercial.

Had I known they were going to discontinue O.J.'s in the 80's I would have bought the entire stock. Instead, I've been OJless for 25 years. Life has never been the same.

everytime i eat this cereal IT MAKES ME WANNA STB MY WIFE lol

Quit screwing around Kellogg's. Bring back the OJs and stop waiting to use it as a secret weapon during a slump in sales. Those of us who remember it won't care about it any more if you wait any longer.

i do remember that cereal, it is still good, and now we got "yummy mummy" orange flavor back for limited time. they also need to bring back pop tart's orange cream tarts.

When I was a girl sugar had to be the 3rd or 4th ingredient on a cereal. I saved my money to buy this cereal and by the time had enough it was already off the market! I am still upset I never got to try it

I remember collecting the boxes with the different Western Town buildingS and cowboy characters on the box that you cut out and laid the town out on the floor. I ate a lot of bowls of OJs.

i ate this 3 meals a day for a week when i was like 5 or 6 and it made me fart out horrible orange grease that stained my clothes. my mom sent an outraged letter to kellogg's about it and their response was to send us coupons for more. huge W imo.
