The ads featured a live scarecrow who wondered why bran cereals are made of wheat,'when corn tastes better'. Cornmeal-filled squares about the size of Cap'n Crunch.

I love it too and have been eating it by the handfull since the 80s. I find it at ONE store in Dallas - the Super Target. When i buy it, I buy several boxes. Good luck.

Loved it times a million. Great when soggy. Just a fantastic culinary experience on a crisp autumn morning, when all things seemed possible... decades before I was trapped in this horrible soul-sucking career... God I loved you Corn Bran.

If you can't find this great cereal in your local store, you can order it from Amazon.

I used to use it to make a carrot cake from a recipe they used to have on the box. Now I can't find the cereal. The best carrot cake ever.

Ooh, sounds awesome - PLEASE post the recipe, DG. Here in Michigan you can find Corn Bran and some of the Meijer and Target stores.

I have been racking my brain trying to remember the name of this cereal. It was probably 30 or so years ago I went to visit my Dad in Nebraska and my step mom bought that cereal (probably because she thought it was good for me) I didn't care because it was so good. No milk no bowl just right out of the box. It was great!

Great cereal! It was my favorite as a kid and it was better for you too, than most kids’ cereals. My family really likes the Barbara’s Puffins. I was eating a bowl the other day and I realized that they are so much like the Quaker Corn Bran cereal I enjoyed so much. I remembered them and then found this site. First ingredient on Puffins is corn flour. They also contain wheat flour, but they taste very similar. Same square shape as well.
