I remember being in jr. high, and ALL the rich girls wore them, and the best i could afford, was a pair of " fresh Squeeze" ones, and then when I FINALLY could afford them, they were out of style.

I saved up till I could get a pair. I didn't have them long when I got pregnant and I never fit into them again. I still have them though!

I had a pair of these as a kid. Mine were dark blue, pin striped and a red rose on the back pocket. Very sharp looking. Normandy Rose jeans had a rose on the pocket, Seattle Blues had a star, A.smiles had an ice cream cone and Sara jeans had a star.

My bad, Seattle Blues had heart embroidered on the back pocket not a star.

The Seattle/Tacoma area was always behind the times in style. These were big my senior year, class of '82. I loved my Normandy Rose Jeans. They were cheap compared to Calvin Kleins (50 bucks!). Jordache and straight leg Levi's button fly jeans were also big that year. And knickers and petticoats. Gag! (but not with a spoon)

I still have my size 13 gray Normandy Rose jeans. I pulled them out to have my daughter try them on a few years ago. She was a size 5-7 and she could not get them past her thighs........Does this mean I wasn't fat in high school??

I wanted a pair sooooo bad in 4th or 5th grade(1984-85) but we didn’t have cool stuff like that in Eugene, OR. I begged my mom for them and told her they were the only thing I wanted for school clothes. She was so amazing that she figured out The Bon Marche in Seattle had them so for our summer vacation we drove there and I got a pair! I loved them sooooo much! I thing I was only able to get a pair of those jeans and a top for all my school clothes and I was fine with it. We couldn’t afford the trip, the jeans and more. I just found a pair on Poshmark and bought them hoping if they didn’t fit me they would fit my 16 y/o daughter and she would like them. They got delivered today! They fit her perfectly and she likes them! The only negative thing she said was “Holy Crap! These are really high waisted!” Lol What a flashback!
