I was always jealous of my older sister who owned a tan buckle bag in the 80's, I am fairly sure she paid around $12 for it from Strandbags. I think I got just as much enjoyment in shrinking all those empty chip and twistie packets and putting them on her bag as she did.I did finally managed to track down a buckle bag to buy a few years back and I love it.

The buckle bag was real popular in the 70's. In 1976/77 My cousin had a cream one, her friend had a brown one. I bought a black one in 1979 and kept it for years until the zipper broke. Passed it on but wish I'd kept it...I'd love another one
