Description: Swatch watches were great. The more you wore on your arm the cooler. I usually wore three at a time, different designs.

I'm wearing a swatch as we speak, lol. Mine is plain black though.

I have a collection of 80's Swatches. Unfortunately they've all been purchased on ebay or at yard sales, as I lost my originals somewhere along the line. I also buy NEW Swatches from time to time. I never got over my childhood Swatch love!

I knew a guy who made a belt out of his swatches!

Still have my Technosphere Swatch. That's the one with the flourescent green around the dial, pink hour hand , white minute hand that looks like a lightning bolt, and green second hand. It works great, but I hardly wear it.

These always reminded me of 1960s pop art styles, especially when people would wear numerous ones on one arm at the same time.

I would wear two on one wrist, and one on the other, all set to different time zones. One would be my time, and one would be Eastern time, and one would be Pacific time.

I remember around 1989 when a lot of teens wore their Swatch with the buckle side on the top of their wrist. At a place that I worked at there were some teen employees there that did that, I asked why he did that and he said it was cool that way. There was another teen there who wore his Swatch that way and always kept looking at his Swatch every few minutes, I asked him if he's waiting for something and he said he just likes turning his wrist the other way to show off how he wears his Swatch buckle side on top. I was too old to understand why the did that. That trend lasted a few years before it turned dorky. I guess it was a teen thing, like now every teen I know wears a baseball cap to the side and a yellow rubber bracelet.

I wear mine either way, depending on my mood.

If you wear your Swatch with the buckle on top of your wrist, be sure to put a guard on the Swatch, so the face dosen't get scratched.

It's fun to mix and match your watchbands, too. I do that all the time now since I got a bunch of aftermarket bands recently.

All of my old plastic Swatches have been retired. I now have a Swatch Irony automatic conversion that was made with one of my "Flumotions" Swatch. I now wear that one all the time, and all of my other ones have had batteries removed, put in their boxes, and now live in our safe. I have mint Technosphere, another Flumotions, also mint, two Stormy Weather, a Disque Blue, a Turquoise Bay, a Computrip, and a small Blue Bay. All are mint, and all run, but are being stored for safe (no pun intended) keeping. Who knows, maybe twenty or thirty years from now, I'll sell them, but they are my "babies".

Still have several that I purchased in 86, 87, 88 etc.. They still work & I still wear them. Swatch stock price just took a huge jump, too. The Chinese are gobbling them up!

Man, I loved my Swatches. I had quite a few of them and still own one to this day. I'm sure a simple battery replacement would get that relic wrist wear working again! I remember the colored swatch guards as well and popping them on and off. Does anybody remember when they came out with Pop Swatch? It was a giant faced swatch in a stretchy type wrist band. The faces were interchangeable. I had one, but it is long gone.

Still wearing the Flumotions Irony automatic conversion that was made for me in 2013. The hour hand is the original black one, the minute hand is the white lightning bolt from my old Technosphere, and the seconds hand is dark blue--the guy who made it for me had that one. I get so many comments on that watch, but at work I have to remove it and stick it in my pocket. It has the metal band it came with, but can also wear the plastic Swatch bands. I love this watch so much!!!!
