Had a pair when I was young.I loved them, even though they sucked in the snow. They leaked like crazy. The best part was the "transformer" characters on the sides would only apear when in cold weather .thats 80's awsomness.

I loved my marron mooon boots. Wore them to the stables. Once stepped on a nail, and it went right through... Just got another pair at Goodwill for 3 dollars. Husband wanted to buy me a 30 dollar pair at store, but i like the fact that when i want to put them on their is no fuss, and they come off without bending over. I got outside a lot to tend to horses and live in Mi. so it gets mighty cold....but not my feet.

I had a pair of moon boots with laces on the lower part. These were the warmest boots I ever wore. When I bought them they were not water proof only water resistant. After working mink oil thru the nylon they became waterproof. I wore these boots in minus 40 degree weather and one time I broke thru some ice on a lake, luckily I was in only waist deep water but my feet and lower legs were warm and dry. Even though my pants froze solid I walked the two miles home thanks to my moon boots. The nice thing about moon boots is they looked kooky but they gave one the feeling that they were walking on springs and the grip of the kleeted bottoms were none better. The only draw back was no protection of your toes. If you kicked something you learned quick that there was nothing there to protect you. Now many years later I am looking for a replacement for my boots. I logged more then 1000 miles in my boots. In my whole life these were the first shoeware of any sort that I enjoyed wearing. These boots made walking so comfortable I did not mind going for a short walk of ten miles in mid winter. I have been looking for replacement moon boots for a few years now.
