Description
Sex: female
Type of clothing: leaf earrings
When it was popular: 1981-82
Description: Gold leaves that looked like actual gilded elm or poplar leaves hanging from the earlobes by a small chain. Very popular in my Texas suburb with Siouxsie Sioux-style teased hair and the briefly popular under-the-hair headbands (as opposed to the Native American-style over-the-hair headbands of the late 1960s/early 1970s).
