my denim jacket has 50 patches on it mainly of black metal and power metal and some thrash plus it has been singed by nearly 40 bands ranging from anthrax to gorgoroth, venom, satyricon, emperor, enthroned i also have over 150 studs on my cutoff it is worth a lot of money as i got it valued by the owner of mr ben in glasgow she put a minamum value of £100 on it just for the badges and patches i wear my cutoff with pride to gigs and nights out i do tend to look for very rare hard to find patches of lesser known bands for example tsjuder, conquest of steel and others i no longer buy patches in shops in glasgow as they cater for stale trends like nu-metal and emo where as i look for patches of proper metal bands i do not waste my time listening to rubbish so i avoid the following trivium, ozzy, metallica, all nu-metal and emo as i cannot stand groups that have zero talent and at the end of the day all they do is get young kids to dress provocitively and commit self harm did you know that trivium mime onstage this is true

Ive got three Patch Jackets. One is a cutoff denim vest, half metal half punk with 300+ studs, the next is a cutoff denim vest with a DIY Toxic Holocaust backpatch, and the third is a leather designated Extreme Metal only but it has punk aspects with the stud layout

People should be aware that if you are not metal enough to wear patches on your jackets then REAL metallers WILL take them off you by force and by right... you have been warned

Being the metal head I was in the late 80s you knew I had to have one of these. Some of my patches were Motley Crue (my favorite band at that time), def leppard, ozzy osbourne, dokken, guns n roses, megadeth, and anthrax.

You know I had one of these back in the day! Of course, it no longer fits and I have since given it away but I do have pics. I have actually been able to find exact matches for most of them. I have assembled enough so far for about three new jackets with more on the way. Megadeth, Metallica, G-n-R, Def Leppard, Judas Priest, Ozzy, Cinderella, Led Zeppelin, Crue, Scorpions (very hard to find), Sabbath, Hendrix, KISS, etc...

I've got a leather jacket with a couple of patches on it (one back patch, two superstrips, two patches on the front and two round shoulder patches) but that's one I decided not to make into a full patch jacket. Whereas my denim vest is completely covered, with at least sixty patches... everything from oldschool, thrash, death, doom, black and power metal patches... lots of rare bands too. I'm thinking about starting a third one, which will probably be a leather sleeveless motorcycle vest with a back patch and exclusively rare black metal patches.

I Spent alot of money on patces (and buttons). My great Grandma used to sew them on for me, she was so cool!! 80's METAL RULZ!! I'm pissed now though 'cuz I don't know what ever happened to my denim jacket!! I had about 20 or so patches on it! That sucks! Looks like I'm about to start a new hobby! Thanks guys!! I already have 2 OZZY and a MEGADETH to start w/.

i am currently working on another jacket myself. i like to use olive drab or woodland colored military BDUs and cut the sleeves off(Battle Dress Uniforms). the military thing fits the style i like a little better than just denim, although i have used denim in the past. ive also done a couple pairs of pants as well, but just on black narrow legged pants.

I still want that denim jacket with all the patches that is shown for a brief second in the Paradise City video from Guns N' Roses.
