Oh my God! I had completely forgotten about Gasoline jeans. I had a pair that were solid in front and pin striped in the back. It took my mom FORVER to save up for a pair. I thought I was so COOL!

I had a pair that zipped and buttoned in the back, instead of the front. I loved them, I actually ended up with two pair, and still have one of them!

I had a pair that had patches all over them. They were so expensive then. Why don't they make them now so we can afford them?

I have always thought the concept of 2-toned jeans was neat, and could see young people wearing these today! I also liked the pin-striped jeans that usually came in pastel colors.

I still have mine. i bought them from a place called jeans-n-thing. size 13. some of the patches are gone but this is the best jeans i have even owned. in 1985 48.00 for a pair of jeans was unheard of but i did get them.

I loved my Gasloine Jeans and can not believe that with all of our old 80's trends resurfacing that they have not came back. I had about 8 pairs and wore them all the time. I beg if I dug in my mothers attic I would find a few pairs LOL

Gasoline, Ltd. went under after the family that owned Guess and the family that owned Jordache could not agree (Gasoline was a joint venture between the two families).

I still have a pair of gasoline jeans with flowers on them from high school. They are still in good condition, and wish they would come back.

I own 1 pair of Gasoline shorts. I bought them a year or two ago. They sat in my closet for about 2 years after that...Then I started wearing them. They are now one of my favorite pairs of shorts, second to the now modern "booty-shorts". I work at Lord & Taylor recently and asked one of my assistants to pursue the brand for me and I hope she is successful, She found a store in Los Angeles that carries them for $250. Yay!! Im going to buy them before they sell out.
Curtains (thats what my friend Tanner use to call me when I wore them) - February 26, 2014 - Report this comment
My grandmaw and my mama went to a cute boutique in NC and bought me a pair They were expensive for us back then. I was so proud and happy to have them. Th ey had yellow paisley trimmed pockets. I remember how much I liked them. I wore them till the pockets fell apart. I still think its funny that my friend Tanner use to call me curtains when I wore them. :-)
