I actually had a pair of EJ Gitano shoes. They came in a little suitcase decorated with hearts. I used those sucker to store crap for years.

I always hated school shopping for jeans because they always were way too long or the crotch was way down to my knees-until P.S. Gitanos came out in petite, average, and tall lengths. They were a godsend for me!

I bought a pair of PS Gitano jeans and an oversized Gitano t-shirt at the Goodwill recently. The shirt says "FIESTA" and has a confetti print.

FYI- Gitano made other things besides jeans. I scored a nice gitano black beret from thrift store last year.

About how much would a pair of brand new Gitano wedges cost originally?? I have a pair black and white ones, with a cute little bow on the top. I just want to know the value of them 😊😍

I loved Gitano jeans. I had a pair on when my neice, who was 7 or 8 at the time asked me what they were called. I told her to do her phonetics and read the name on my back pocket. She said, "G-I-, G-I-Gantic?

I had the pleasure to work for the Orit Corporation at their Import Department at the highlight of their products Gitano and Pegasus jeans from 1984 to 1989. The big boom came with the PS Gitano brand because they were proportionally sized for the different body types. Little by little the company grew and added the Gitano Outerwear, Gitano Underwear, Eva Joia and even shoes and accesories. It was time to make the company public so the Gitano Corporation was born abd so did Gitano Outlets in various states. They even bought the Gloria Vanderbilt licensing. Sadly, in the 90's they messed up big importing goods they were not supposed to. They ended up being taken up by Fruit of the Loom. Those five years I worked for them were the best years of my life. I'm still in touch with some of my old co-workers as Gitano was a great big family and the original owners were the best bosses around NYC!
