Swishy 2nd grade Student - July 19, 2017 - Report this comment
I loved nylon jogging suits as a small child. And I loved the swishy sound they made. A lot of my teachers and classmates wore jogging suits all the time and I wanted some jogging suits of my own. In second grade, I got a lot of those suits when I went school clothes shopping. During the warmer weather, I wore jogging suit without lining everytime it rained. We had PE twice a week and I always wore a pair of nylon jogging pants to school on days we had PE because I wanted to hear myself swishy all through gym class. When we had field trips, I made sure that I wore a pair of jogging pants because we'd be walking around all day and that meant I could hear myself swishy non stop all day. During the colder weather, I wore a jogging suit full time.
loved to swishy - July 21, 2017 - Report this comment
We couldn't wear shorts to school after the end of September through mid to late April at my primary school. So, after we couldn't wear shorts, It was really cold outside on the play ground and we had to go outside to go to lunch since the lunch room was in another building. I didn't wear jeans;my parents had me wear a pair of windpants with long sleeve shirts and when it got colder I ended up wearing a windsuit with a tee shirt or turtleneck. My turtle necks were usually a solid color. I hated the turtlenecks. But, I didn't mind being in windsuit because it was my favorite thing to wear. I loved how shiny and silky my suits looked. And I loved the swishy sound they made when I moved around.
matching outfit - July 22, 2017 - Report this comment
My parents made me wear little girl versions of these suits up until I was in 4th grade. In third grade my parents let me pick what I wanted to wear two days a week to school and the other three days they decided what I was going to wear. That year the winter was colder than normal. During the winter months, my parents made me wear a windpants and matching windvest with a fancy tee shirt or a turtleneck or windsuit with a tee shirt or turtle neck. I hated it because I didn't like hear myself swish around all day. Two of those three days, I had a class that I hated because I didn't like the teacher. I tried to skip the class, but my teacher always came and got me. One time I had on a pair of pink and black windpants with a matching hooded vest with a pink turtle neck and that teacher came and got me for class. She was in the same outfit and wanted everyone to know we were in the same outfit. We walked up and down the hall and everyone saw we were in the same outfit. Another time I was in a purple windsuit and a white turtle neck. That teacher came and got me and was wearing the same outfit. She was surprised we were dressed a like again. That time we had to walk outside around the track and everyone outside saw us dressed a like. I went home and cried. My parents didn't like me getting embrassed by that teacher and didn't make me wear the suits anymore.
turtle neck and jogging suit combo - July 26, 2017 - Report this comment
The jogging suit and turtleneck combo was really popular back in the 80's and 90's. Me and all of the other little girls' in my class were always sent to school in a white turtle neck and jogging suit.
No Jackets in the Classroom - July 28, 2017 - Report this comment
When I was a small the only part about winter that I liked was the fact that it would cold enough for me to wear a jogging suit to school everyday.I liked how bright, colorful, shiny, and swishy these suits were. I usually wore a turtle neck with my suit. In first grade, I spent the school day in half of my jogging suit. My teacher didn't allow us to wear jackets in the classroom, even if it was part of our outfit. So, most days I felt naked being in my turtleneck and jogging pants. The suit didn't fell complete unless, I was wearing the jacket that came with my pants. I usually kept my jacket zipped up to the cleavage level since I wore turtlenecks with my suits most of the time. The following year, I started wearing my suits every day at the end of October. My teacher didn't allow to wear any type of jackets in the classroom and sometimes she'd make me and the other kids hang up our wind jackets. I always felt naked having to walk around in my turtle neck or long sleeve tee shirt and my wind pants.
jogging suit kid - September 11, 2017 - Report this comment
I remember seeing my classmates and teacher wearing these bright, multicolored, shiny, sliky, and swishy windsuits suits and wanted to wear them too. When the fall clothing came out my parents bought me some of these suits. When it was cold enough for me to wear one, my parents told me that it was could enough for me to wear a windsuit. I wore a bright pink windsuit with a with a pale pink turtle neck. I closed the door and got dressed. As soon as I got my suit on, I zipped it up to the cleavage level like everyone else wore. Then I stood in front of the mirror staring at myself in my shiny multicolored windsuit. After looking in the mirror, I wanted to have a few minutes to myself because I wanted to swish around. So, I walked around in my room hearing myself swishy. I wore these suits up until junior high school.
want to hear myself swishy - December 22, 2017 - Report this comment
@ jogging suit kid, I wore those suits when I was in Kidergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. liked how those suits were shiny and silky. And I loved the swishy sound they made when I walked. I always wore jogging suits when it rained and on days we had PE. In the winter, I wore them full time with a turtle neck expect on PE days. When ever I wore a pair jogging pants or a complete jogging suit, I always had swishy time when I was getting ready for school. During swishy time, I'd shut my bed room door and walk around in my room for several minutes to hear myself swishy.

@ no jackets in the classroom, when it got close to the 100th day of school my second grade teacher had us decorate a shirt with 100 items to wear on the 100th day of school. I used a light purple tee shirt and put 100 foam animals on it. On the 100th day of school it was in January and I was in my jogging suits full time. I wore a new purple and teal jogging suit that I got for Christmas with my 100th day of school shirt. Normally we could wear jackets in the classroom, but when I got to school they were taking pictures of my class and other kids in different grades who decorated a shirt for the 100th day of school. Since I had a jacket on, I had to take it off because my shirt wouldn't have been seen other wise. It felt odd being in half a jogging suit for a little bit. But, it didn't take no time for me to adjust being in my 100th day of school shirt and my purple jogging suit pants, since I always took my jacket off during PE and put it on at the end of PE. During PE I was still able to hear myself swishy when my legs rubbed together during movement. I knew it would be the same way but I'd be without the jacket most of the day. After the 100th day of school, I liked going without the jacket and it gave me the idea to be in a pair of swishy jogging pants for the rest of the school year.
School Jogging Suits - June 16, 2018 - Report this comment
@turtle neck and jogging suit combo, one year we had a chilly fall with a lot of windy and rainy days and the winter was much colder than normal. In the school news letter, parents were advised to dress their kids warmer than normal. In the news letter, it suggested that students wore jogging suits everyday if they had more than one suit. And the letter mentioned that the jogging suit and turtle neck combo would work very well together. The school was even going to sell jogging suits with the school logo at low prices for students to buy more than one, and for parents who had more than one kid. Me and the other little girls were really excited about wearing a jogging suit to school everyday. When I got dressed the next morning my parents had me wear a white turtleneck with my pink and purple suit. I zipped my jacket up to the cleavage level and saw my white turtleneck really made my jogging suit stand out. When I got to school the other little girls were wearing white turtlenecks with their jogging suits too.

@ school jogging suits, during my 3rd grade year we had a lot of chilly weather in fall and the winter was much colder than normal. So, I wore a windsuit to school everyday shortly after fall break. I had wore the suits to school a couple of times a week in the previous years. And I wore the single pairs of windpants bought separately on days we had PE. But, I had never wore them to school full time before. I loved the fact that I would be wearing a windsuit to school fulltime, because they were my favorite thing to wear. I especially loved being in a pair of wind suit pants because I could hear myself swish around when my legs rubbed together when I was walking. On really cold days, my parents made me wear a white turtleneck with designs printed on them.
Swishy 1st Grader - July 13, 2018 - Report this comment
@ School jogging suits, when I was in first grade it was going to be really cold after Christmas break. I didn't want to wear sweatpants because they were really hot and I didn't want to wear knit pants because they were very tight. Since I wore windsuits a lot during the winter months, in kindergarten, my parents bought me windpants and complete windsuits. Since it was really cold my parents sent my back in long sleeves. On my first day back I wore navy windpants and a cream color floral tee shirt. The classroom was really hot and I had to push up my sleeves to stay comfortable. I would have preferred to have been in short sleeves, but I loved the fact that I was going to remain in windpants since they were my favorite type of pants to wear back in those days. They were bright, shiny, smooth, and super swishy. On days I was in windsuit my parents always made me wear a turtleneck with my suit. I liked being in the turtlenecks because the windsuit and turtleneck combo was really popular and it really made me stand out in my windsuit. I kept my zipper zipped up to the cleavage level since most of the time I was in a white turtleneck and I didn't want to get a stain on my turtleneck.
Swishy 3rd Grader - July 18, 2018 - Report this comment
Some of my friends noticed that I was in a windsuit everyday after fall break. They loved wearing their suits to school as much as I did and they decided that they wanted to stay in their windsuits everyday with me. But once cold weather hit, their parents made them wear a turtleneck or long sleeve tee shirt with their windsuits, like my parents were having me wear. When we wore turtlenecks, it felt like it was part of our outfits and it felt odd walking around school in a turtleneck and windpants. So, we stayed in our turtlenecks and we zipped our jackets up to the cleavage level. On days we wore long sleeve tee shirts, we liked it better since we didn't feel like it was part of our outfit. Since other kids were coming to school in windpants and tee shirts. We usually hung our jackets on the back of our chairs and wore our shirts and windpants. One time my parents made me wear a white tee shirt with Winnie the Pooh on it, which was a shirt I hated. So, I kept my jacket zipped up as far as it would go so I wouldn't have to look at a shirt I hated.
Weather Premiere - July 29, 2018 - Report this comment
We had weather premiere at school where students got on the intercom and told what the temperature and weather would be like each day. Parents were advised to dress their kids according to what the weather was. In the winter months it was recommended and encouraged that kids wore turtlenecks, long sleeve tee shirts, sweatshirts, jogging pants, and jogging suits to school on a regular basis. Everyday, during the winter my parents sent me to school in jogging suit and a turtleneck. All of the other kids in my class wore a turtleneck and a jogging suit to school everyday. Even the teacher wore them to school everyday.
Windsuit Fun Day - August 02, 2018 - Report this comment
When I was in Junior High School, these suits were still very popular among the student body and the school staff. Many people were wearing them every day and you would loose count of how many were wearing a wind suit each day. I was one of the students who wore a wind suit two to three times a week. But, there were times I wore a wind suit to school all week long. One of my friends wore them a lot and when her and her best friend had to do a group project they wore a navy and light pink windsuit with a light pink turtle neck. Me and my best friends were really close to these two girls. After they did their group project, there was a day that they both wore that same outfit. I asked them if they planned on it and they didn't. They just said they both went to Wal-Mart to pick out a windsuit and turtleneck for them to wear together when they did their group project. Me and my best friend told them that we liked the outfit and asked them if they cared if we got the same outfit. They said they didn't care at all and once we got our suits and turtlenecks, all four of us could pick a day and we could wear our matching outfits to school one day. Once me and my best friend bought our windsuits and turtlenecks, all four of us picked a day to wear them together. When we all got to school, we went to see what we all looked like in our matching windsuits. The gym was open and we decided to go into the girls locker room to see what we looked like since there was a bigger mirror in there. We took our book bags and lunch boxes in there since we didn't want to drop them off in our lockers first. We all looked in the mirror and thought we all looked nice in matching outfits. The bell rang and we couldn't get the door to open. We hollered but no one heard us. It dawned on us it was a day that the PE teacher did health one day a week and they'd be in a classroom instead of the gym. We realized that we were going to be stuck in there all day. All of us were disappointed because we wanted everyone to see all four of us in our matching windsuits. We all also were looking forward to walking around school together and hearing all four of us swishy together. I told my friends always did love to hear myself swishy, but I was very excited about hearing myself swishy with my three friends, because the swishy sound would be four times louder than it would be if it was just me wearing a windsuit. All of them said they were looking forward to us being able to hear ourselves swishy together. It gave me the idea that we could try to make the most of the day stuck in the locker room. I told my friends we could all walk around the huge girls locker room and we could still enjoy hearing ourselves swishy. My friends loved the idea and we started to walk around the locker room. The swishy sound was much louder with all four of us walking together. We walked around for half and hour and then we stopped and took a seat on the bench. We talked about what we thought it would have been like if we were able to do it in the halls and in the classrooms. One friend thought that we would have been heard from the end of the hall and students in every class room would be looking out their classroom doors to see who was all swishing together. Another friend thought that all through class the swishy sound would be heard all through math, because when we did ever so many math problems we had to get up and show our teacher our work and they had to be correct before we moved on to the next problems. My best friend thought we would have attracted a lot of attention when we all went to lunch. I thought we all would have been hearing how nice we looked in our windsuits and asked if we all knew if we were going to wear the same outfit. There was huge shower in there and I asked my friends if they had their swimsuits with them since we were doing a swimming unit in PE. They said they did. I suggested that we changed into our swimsuits and we turned the shower on full blast and used it as sprinkler that kids loved to play in and run through in the summer time. We all went into a stall and got changed. One changed into a lime green suit, one changed into a purple suit, my best friend changed into a blue suit, and I changed into a pink suit. We turned the shower on full blast and we ran around the area, stood under it, and splashed each other with water. When we turned it off, we dried off and put our windsuit on over our swimsuits. All of us were in the mood to hear our selves swishy, so we took our jackets off since it was a little stuffy in there. We hung on the changing room entrances and did a stretch arm hang and rubbed our legs together. We also ran in place, sat down and rubbed our legs together, and walked around the room. All of us were having fun. One of us got the idea to play Simon Says. It was different though, we did ran in place, walked around the room, and hung from the shower stall and rubbed our legs together. I was Simon first, I said that I was going to be the only one who speak in complete sentences and other three had to say "Swishy, Swishy, Swishy," no stop during the game. The other three loved it and wanted the other three who weren't Simon were only allowed to say "Swishy, Swishy, Swishy," non stop. We played the game until all four of us had a turn of being Simon. At 11:00, we all stopped and ate lunch since all four of us had our lunch boxes. After we ate, one of us got an idea for us to turn the shower back on and stand under it and in our windpants, then turn it off, long enough for us to put our jackets on and zip them up as far as they'd go and then get back under the shower and run around and have fun being able to swishy under the shower. We all played in the shower in the complete windsuits, but decided to just play under it in our swimsuits only since we didn't want to have to dry our windsuits off with a towel more than once. We all played under the shower for over an hour and decided that we wanted to swishy more than playing under the shower. We all changed back into our windsuits and turtlenecks. Then we dried our swimsuits under the drier and put them back with our PE clothes. The gym teacher came to the door and unlocked to get something and saw that we were in there. They apologized about us being stuck in there and we got to go to class for half the day in our matching windsuits.
Swishy 4th Grader - August 03, 2018 - Report this comment
I loved wearing these suits in 4th grade. In the warmer weather, I didn't wear shorts to school because the classroom were really cold. We could wear pants to school if we didn't want wear shorts in the warm weather and we were allowed to wear a light weight jacket or sweater in the classrooms if we were cold natured. So, I was one of the many students who came to school in windsuit during the warmer weather. In the warmer weather, I wore suits that didn't have lining and I loved feeling the nylon material against my skin. After fall break, students weren't allowed to wear short until after spring break, so it was more frequent to see a lot of students coming to school in a windsuit. After fall break I wore suits with lining. I mostly more floral tee shirts with my suits, but since my suits were usually bright or dark colors my tee shirts were the same color as my suit, but they were in a lighter shade. When the we got the wintery weather, I got to wear turtlenecks with my suits. My turtlenecks were a soild color. I usually wore white turtlenecks with my suits. When we had PE I left my jacket on the back of my chair and went to PE in my turtleneck and windsuit pants. But, since I had on long sleeves, I had to push my sleeves up. I loved PE because I could hear myself swishy for an hour nonstop. I loved the swishy sound that the pants made when the rubbed together. You could walk down the hall and make noise without getting in trouble, and you could hear it from far off. But, it was more fun if you were in the windpants because from the moment you put the pants on the swishy sound would be part of your outfit and it would be following you around all day.
Little Windsuit Girls - August 09, 2018 - Report this comment
As a little girl, my favorite thing to wear were windsuits. I didn't start wearing them until I was in elementary school. My best friend and I had seen other kids wearing them and we decided that we wanted to wear them too. Turns out when each of us got home our parents were going to take us shopping for windsuits since neither one of us wore jeans. We both wore knit pants and sweatpants in the cooler weather. Our parents decided that they wanted us to be dressed warmer in the winter and they had a lot of parents recommend the suits to them since their kids loved wearing them. My parents and my best friends parents took us both shopping. They told us that they wanted us to try on windsuits because they had decided that they were going to have us wear them during chilly weather instead of our knit pants and sweat pants. The turtleneck and windsuit combo was popular and our parents wanted us to try on turtlenecks with our suits to wear on the really cold days. We both saw a black and pink suit that we really liked. Our parents gave us a pink turtleneck to try on with our suits. My friend was nervous about wearing the suits because she would start swishing around when we got our suits on. I told my friend that I'd be swishing around too and that was of the reason why I wanted to start wearing windsuits. I confessed that I was excited about the idea of me wearing a windsuit with my best friend full time. I loved the idea of us being able to share the experience of getting to hear ourselves swishy together. I told my friend that once she was dressed to wait for me outside the changing room. I put my turtleneck and suit on. I didn't want to start swishing until I was with my friend so I walked with my legs apart and met my friend outside the door. Turns out she walked with her legs apart since she didn't want to start swishing without me. We held hands and started to walk. Both of us walked really slow so we could get used to swishing around. As our pants rubbed together we were both hearing the swishy sound that we were making together. I asked me friend what she thought. She confessed she was loving it since she was getting to hear us both swishy side by side. We went and showed our parents what we looked like in the suits and they thought we looked cute. They asked us what we thought about wearing the windsuits. We both admitted that we loved being in them and they were much more comfortable than our knit pants and sweatpants. We picked out several suits and turtlenecks. The next day we both wore a bright blue, light blue, and grey muiltcolored suit with a light blue floral tee shirt. My friend was waiting for me when I got to school. We had our jackets zipped up as far as they'd go, so we could both have turtlenecks and we wanted the swishy nylon material to cover as much as our bodies at it could. We also wanted it look like it was shirt and a pair of pants. Both us were excited about it being our first day of us wearing windsuits everyday full time together for the next several months. At recess we wanted to swishy so we walked around the playground hearing ourselves swishy together. My friend already loved that swishy sound as much as I did. When we had PE we just went to PE in our tee shirts and we pants. We loved being able to swishy non stop for an hour. In the warmer weather we wore a pair of wind suit pants with a tee shirt.
Best Windsuit Friends - August 13, 2018 - Report this comment
I wore knit pants during the cold weather. But, they were tight and showed my figure. Windsuits were very popular when I was child and everyone body was wearing them. Our school book store sold some navy windsuits with the school logo on the jacket and they sold white tee shirts with the school name and mascot printed across the shirt in navy. Our parents gave us some money so we could buy a windsuit and a tee shirt. We bought our suits and tee shirts at the bookstore and decided that we were going to change into our windsuits. We went into the bathroom and changed our clothes. When we both stepped out of the stall, we swished over to the mirror and stared at ourselves wearing a windsuit for the first time. I asked my friend what she thought of us getting to experience wearing a windsuit for the first time. My friend said she loved the suit and it was much more comfortable than her sweatpants. I told my friend that the suit was much more comfortable than my knit pants and the windsuit pants weren't tight and they were looser. I told my friend that I wanted to wear windpants instead of knit pants. My friend told me that she wanted to wear windpants instead of sweatpants. We had book fair and our parents had given us money to buy some books. But, we didn't see any books we wanted, so we went back to the school book store and bought a pair of pink, purple, black, and dark grey wind pants since they were only $5.00 dollars each. Both of us realized that we could wear windpants everyday and we could ask for windsuits for Christmas. After each of us went home, we explained to our parents we wanted to wear windpants or a complete windsuit instead of our sweatpants and knit pants. Our parents were agreeable to letting us stay in windpants everyday. At Christmas, we both got windsuits like wanted and had enough to stay in a suit everyday. Since the turtleneck and windsuit combo was really popular our parents bought us a lot of turtlenecks with our suits. We both decided that we would wear the same windsuit and turtleneck on our birthday. And who ever had the birthday got to decide what we were going to wear. On my birthday we wore a royal blue, navy, and hotpink windsuit with a pink turtleneck. On my friends birthday we wore a purple, black, and teal windsuit with a white turtleneck. We both loved the swishy sound and enjoyed being able to swishy when we were walking down the hall. PE was our favorite class because we'd be swishing around non-stop.
Loved These Suits - August 16, 2018 - Report this comment
I loved wearing these suits growing up. They were first popular for kids the year I was born and my parents thought they were really cute and they dressed me in them a lot. I had watched an old video of my first Christmas and I had on a turquoise multicolored windsuit with a turquoise turtleneck. It was also popular for adults and children for to wear turtlenecks with the suits, so my parents kept me in turtlenecks when I wore the suits. My parents wore the suits too and we even had family portraits made where everyone was in a windsuit and a turtleneck. When I went to school, I didn't wear jeans, overalls, or sweatpants. And I wouldn't wear denim jackets, zip up hoodies, sweatshirts, or sweaters either. When it got to the point in the year when it was colder and we had to start wearing jackets and long pants to school, my parents kept me in windsuits. Normally, I wore a tee shirt with my suits up until winter weather, which was when I started wearing turtlenecks most of the time. I liked wearing the turtlenecks especially white ones with my windsuits because they really made me stand out in my suit. I loved the swishy sound and walked around in my room so I could have time to enjoy hearing myself swishy. When I got up in the mornings my windpants were the first thing I put on and at night my windpants were the last thing that I took off.
stuck in a jogging suit - August 22, 2018 - Report this comment
During the cold weather, my parents made me wear jogging suits to school everyday because we had to go outside several times a day since we had more than one building on the school campus, we went outside for recess twice a day, and the school sent a note home advising parents to dress their kids in warmer and parents were encouraged to have their kids wear jogging suits as much as possiable. I didn't like wearing jogging suits to school because I'd hated to hear the swishy sound pants made when my legs rubbed together. From the moment I got dressed at 6:15 AM, I was trapped in my jogging suit and listening to myself swish around until I got home at 3:00 PM. Two times a week, I had after school tutoring so I was in my jogging suit for two extra hours. I had a class that I hated because I didn't like my teacher and tried to skip it. But, I didn't have much luck because that teacher's classroom was in the same hall that my classroom was in. She always watched for my class to pass her room and me swishing down the hall. It was always easy for her to tell if I was at school or not. That teacher loved wearing jogging suits and stayed in them all winter and during the warmer months she stayed in jogging pants. I knew I had to go to that class if she came and got me and I could hear her swishing down the hall when it was time for me to go to her class. One time I was stuck wearing a purple, black, and teal green suit with a light purple short sleeve tee shirt. When that teacher came and got me she was wearing a soild navy jogging suit and a white short sleeve tee shirt with the school logo printed across the shirt in navy. She said that we were going outside to take a walk. She made me hold her hand and we walked outside. She explained that her and her niece wore joggingsuits all the time together and loved to take walks together so they could hear themselves swishy together. We walked around the school and passed the play ground. She decided that we were going to go to the play ground and walk around the track. We started walking around the track and when we were half way around the track, she saw the janitor coming. So, we got under the jungle gym to avoid being seen. We stood against a pole and she put her hand over my mouth and held me still. After the janitor was gone we left play ground and went back inside, but we went to the gym. They were having health all day and they gym would be empty all day. So, she made me run laps around the gym for trying to skip her class all the time. When I went home I was upset and my parents complained and they never made me wear a jogging suit again.
Friends meet Windsuits - September 12, 2018 - Report this comment
Back in grade school, I was telling a friend how my parents had me try on windsuits since I wouldn't wear sweatsuits, jeans, or overalls. They were trying to find me some fall and winter clothes since my knit pants weren't always warm enough. I liked the suits and my parents bought me several suits and several pairs of windpants for me to wear until warmer weather. I really liked the suits and was looking forward to wearing them all the time after late October. My friend told me that her parents took her windsuit shopping and she tired on dozens of windsuits and she loved them and her parents recommended them for me to my parents. Both of us wanted to be in a windsuit together and the school bookstore was selling them. We decided that the next day we were each going to buy a windsuit and change into it after we bought. All they had were soild navy suits with the school name and a paw print on the jackets embroidered in white. We both had a white tee shirt with navy polkadots so, we decided we'd wear those tee shirts to school the next day. The following day, it was raining and we both came to school in our white tee shirts, navy knit pants, and our rain coats. We met in the lobby and we went to the book store and bought our windsuits. Both of us were excited and we went into the bathroom to change. As soon as I put my windsuit pants on, I stepped out of the stall and I started to swish around. My friend asked if I was the one swishing around and I confirmed it was. I explained that when I tried my suits on at the shopping centers, I didn't get to swish around. And I wanted to hear myself swishy for the first time. My friend came out swishing in her windsuit pants and slipped her jacket on. She said that she got to swish to the door to show her parents what she looked like in her suit. But, she really wanted to swish around in a suit to know what it was really like. I told my friend that I loved us getting to share our first time swishing around in our windpants together. My friend said she loved it too and said if I got my jacket on, I'd be able to hear myself swishy more. I quickly put on my jacket and zipped it up as far as it would go and we started to walk around swishing in our windsuits together. When school started we noticed that our other class mates were wearing windsuits too that day. At recess, my friend and I wanted to explore being in a windsuit. It had quit raining but it was windy and we stood under the jungle gym and listened to our suits flapping in the wind. sat down in the sand and talked about what we liked about our very first windsuit experience together. I loved being in pants that weren't tight, had lining in them, and being able to swish around in them. My friend loved the swishy sound and it being twice as loud when we walked side by side. We looked up and our class was gone and we noticed them getting on the bus and the bus took off and the were going to see a play out of town. My friend and I were disappointed because we were looking forward to sitting on the bus together in our matching windsuits and swishing around together most of the day. Since we missed the bus, we decided that we'd have fun in windsuits. We walked around the play ground listening to ourselves swishy. We got on the monkey bars and hang there and rub our legs together. Both of us decided that we'd walk around the playground some more. I had once heard some of our classmates say "Swishy, Swishy, Swishy," non stop as they swished around in their windsuits. I suggested to my friend that once we started walking, we were going to start saying "Swishy, Swishy, Swishy," together non stop until we stopped walked, but once we started walking again we'd resume saying "Swishy, Swishy, Swishy," non stop for as long as we walked and were on the play ground. We started to walk around and started to say "Swishy, Swishy, Swishy," non stop. We didn't stop walking for over and hour and we loved saying "Swishy, Swishy, Swishy," non stop. Both of us wanted to show how much we loved our windsuits and since no one else was around we shouted "We love wearing windsuits because we get to hear ourselves swishy!" When the wind picked up we both sat down underneath the jungle gym and talked about the windsuits that we tried on. It turns out that our parents loved the windsuit and turtleneck combo and on really cold days we were going to be stuck wearing turtlenecks. I wasn't a turtleneck fan, but my friend revealed when she tried on a turtleneck with her windsuit at the shopping center, she began to like the idea about wearing turtlenecks because they went really made her windsuit stand out more, especially solid white turtlenecks. We decided that when our parents started to keep us in windsuits full time and made us wear turtlenecks, we'd wear the same suit and turtleneck. So, when it was time, we both wore a purple and lime green suit with a white turtleneck.
Wind Suit Experiment - October 08, 2018 - Report this comment
When I was in kindergarten, my best friend wore windsuits a lot. After I had seen her in wearing windsuits, I started wearing the suits too. When I put my very first suit on my body, I liked how it looked on my body, how my pants were swishy, and how comfortable it was on my body. So, I ended up wearing the suits as much as my best friend did. A few years later, my best friend and I wanted to stay in windsuits as much as we could. We were around the age where we had to dress out for PE. One of the rules was that we'd be required to wear shorts or windpants in the summer and during the winter, we were going to be required to wear a windsuit in PE since we'd be on the running track a lot. We had the option of wearing the windpants/windsuit to school and we'd only have to change our shirts. We decided that was the opportunity that we had been waiting for. I asked my best friend what she thought it would be like if we both wore our favorite type of pants and outfits to school every day. She asked me if it would make us enjoy PE more since we'd be swishing around for a whole class period, if it would make us more comfortable in the classroom, if we'd appericate the opportunity of being able to wear our favorite type of pants and outfits. I asked her if it would make us grow closer since we could get tired of wearing the same thing everyday and swishing around school everyday. We both decided that we wanted to find those answers out and decided that were both going to a windsuit experiment where we both wore a pair of windpants or a windsuit everyday to school for a whole school year. We had out grown a lot of clothes from the previous year so we decided that we'd both only buy windpants, windsuits, short sleeve tee shirts, long sleeve tee shirts, sleeveless polo shirts, and maybe turtlenecks. That way we wouldn't be able to back out of the experiment since those would be the only school clothes that we had that year. And our parents made us save our fancy outfits for church. Our parents took us school clothes shopping together and we tried on a lot of pants and suits. Our parents saw white turtlenecks with ruffled sleeve cuffs and a ruffled neck. They had us both try on a suit with one of those white turtlenecks. When we stepped out, they thought we both looked cute in our windsuits and white turtlenecks. They decided that they were going to buy several of those white turtle necks and pale color turtlenecks and they decided to keep us in the turtlenecks during a big part of winter. On the first day, we decided to give each other moral support on the first day of our experiment. So, we both wore a pale yellow sleeveless polo and a pair navy windpants without lining. When we got to school, other kids were wearing windpants and wind Capri pants. We both loved the smooth material against our skin and we learned we also liked the pants without lining too. We were more comfortable in the classroom since we had on pants that and we weren't as cold when the air kicked on. And we actually, loved PE since we were both moving around and hearing ourselves swish around together. On rainy days, we both wore a suit without lining and we loved it. We weren't in a fancy cute rain coat that our parents kicked out for us. By fall, we were ready to transfere into the full windsuits since we liked being in the complete suits much better. On our first day of transferring into the complete suit we decided to wear the same outfit. We both wore a light blue and royal blue suit with a pale blue floral tee shirt. We were both excited about being a windsuit full time for the next five to six months. We decided that every Friday, we would wear the same outfit. That first week my best friend picked our outfit, a pale green suit with a pale green and white striped shirt. Then the second week I picked our outfit, which was a peach windsuit with a peach floral tee shirt. By the time December rolled around, it got colder and our parents kept us in those white turtlenecks at least twice a week, The other three days we were in a soild or floral long sleeve tee shirt or a pale color turtleneck. One day in December, our parents decided to send us to school in a windvest and matching windpants. I was in a black and pink outfit with a pale pink long sleeve tee shirt and my best friend was in a black and lime green outfit with a pale green long sleeve tee shirt. I hated the windvests and so did my best friend. We both hung our vests on the back of our chairs and spent the day in our windpants and tee shirts. I was beginning to get frustrated with being in my windpants everyday since I was swishing around school and I could be heard a million miles away. My best friend was feeling naked being in her windpants and tee shirt. She missed her jacket. It turned out our parents bought us more windpants and windvest outfit which we both hated the idea of. Our parents planned on us both being one of those outfits once a week. We both decided to give each other moral support and wear the same outfit on the same day so we'd be more comfortable. The following week, we both wore a pale purple windvest and windpants with a pale purple turtleneck. Being in turtlencks with out a jacket, really felt weird because it made us feel like we where missing part of our outfit. But, we both reminded each other we in the experiment together and we were still able to hear our selves swishy when our pants rubbed together, and that was one of our favorite parts about wearing windpants or a windsuit. By the end of the year, we were glad the experiment was over and we decided not to do it again since we got tired of swishing around school and wearing the windpants and windvest.
Swishy Best Friends - October 17, 2018 - Report this comment
In primary school, I was on of the kids who loved to wear windsuits. I always wanted to be in one no matter what time of the year it was. Everytime it rained, there were students and teachers who came to school in a fancy rain coat and a pair of fancy rain boats. And there were students and teachers who just wore a windsuit. I was always in a windsuit on a rainy day and or windy day, especially during that the warm weather. And I was always in windpants on days we had PE. I always kept my zipper zipped up as far as it would go because my collar would become a turtleneck and I loved having my suit cover as much of body as possiable. On a windy day, I came to school in a bright pink and black windsuit with a pink tee shirt and my best friend came to school in a dark purple and light purple windsuit with a light purple tee shirt. We were going on a field trip to see a play, but we didn't go and had to stay with another teacher. Since it was windy but also a nice day the teacher took us out to play on the play group. My best friend and I sat under the jungle gym. We both noticed we were the only two kids who were wearing windsuits in our class and in the group of kids who didn't go on the trip. Since the wind was picking we took a seat underneath the a large tree house. It was a day we were having PE and I loved PE days because I got to wear windpants since we were required wear tennis shoes and athletic attire to school. My best friend asked me not to laugh at her and she was going to tell me a secret. I was going to be the only one who knew since I was her best friend and she felt comfortable talking to me. She said told me her favorite thing to wear was a windsuit. She explained that she always wanted to be in one no matter what time of the year it was. And she always used rainy/windy days to her advantage in the warm weather because it gave her a good reason to wear a windsuit to school. She revealed that also used days that we had PE to her advantage because she got to be in a least a pair of windpants. I didn't laugh and she thanked me for it. She told me that others didn't under why she wanted to wear windsuits and teachers got after her if she talked about going shopping. I was brave enough to tell her that I knew how she felt. I told her that windsuits were my favorite thing to wear too and I also wanted to be in one no matter what time of the year it was and I also used PE days and rainy/windy days to my advantage too. We were both surprised when we learned what the other one's favorite type of clothing to wear. I told my best friend that she was the only one who would know part of my other secret since she was also my best friend and I also felt safe talking with. I told her that the reason why I loved wearing windsuits was because I liked being in shiny, silky, and colorful bright suit. But, my most favorite part was the swishy sound. I told her that during PE, I could listen to myself swish around for an hour. My friend revealed that she loved to wear her windsuits because she wanted to hear herself swishy too. We were both surprised that we both liked the swishy sound and wanted to be able to hear ourselves swishy in our suits/windpants. I told her that I wish that I told her sooner, but my parents always got mad at me if I people "Do you own a windsuit?" And she said that her parents got after her if she talked about windsuits or asked people if the owned one or ever wore one before. I told her that on days I wore windpants or a full windsuit, I got up early to get dressed so I could listen to my self swish around which I called "Swishy Time." I explained that during swishy time, there was only six rules. The first rules was that I had to walk around my room or sit down, rub my legs together, run in place, and when I had a jacket on I would rub my arms against my sides or just swing my arm like I was walking so they'd rub against my jacket so I could swishy. The second rule was that swishy time lasted for five minutes when I was in wind pants. And when I was in a complete suit, swishy time lasted for ten minutes. The third rule was when I was a complete suit I had to move my arms and legs. The fourth rule was that during swishy time was that I was listen to my self swishy non stop and couldn't stop swishing around until swishy time was over. The fifth rule was that I would start saying "Swishy, Swishy, Swishy," non stop even if it was in a whispering voice. "Swishy, Swishy, Swishy," were the only words allowed to be said during swishy time. And the sixth rule was that I had to say "Swishy, Swishy, Swishy," all through swishy time non-stop and I couldn't stop saying "Swishy, Swishy, Swishy," until swishy time was over. My best friend had never though of swishy time and it sounded like fun. She wanted to know if we could do it. Since others were on the play ground, we were going to walk around the huge walking track so no one would question why we were swishing around non stop. I told her that we'd walk around the track like normal and we both had to say "Swishy, Swishy, Swishy," where only we could only hear the other one say it and since there were two of us we were going to double the time and make it twenty minutes instead of ten. So, for the next twenty minutes we had swishy time together and we loved it. We both enjoyed being able to hear ourselves swishy together. When we were done we talked about what we liked about our first swishy time together. I liked us being able to walk side by side and while we listened to ourselves swishy. My best friend liked how we could be seen walking around the track together. And how others could hear us swishing together a million miles away. I could make noise while walking and it was also a neat sound to hear. My friend loved it because she could be heard a million miles away. My best friend told me that her parents had decided to keep her in a windsuit and a turtleneck full time during the cooler weather because it was suppose to be much colder than normal. I told her that made me want to join her, since I'd finally have a friend who loved wearing the suits as much as me. She said she'd love to have me join her and we could have Windsuit Wednesdays, where we'd wear the same outfit every week together. I went home and told my parents that my best friend told me that she loved wearing windsuits too and that her parents were going to be keeping her in a winduit and a turtleneck full time during the colder weather. I told them that I wanted to stay in them too all through the colder weather. My parents were agreeable too it. It turned out that my parents called my best friends parents and told them that I wanted stay in a windsuit and a turtleneck with her. Her parents liked the idea and they thought we'd look cute in our suits together. They had seen where the windsuit and white turtleneck combo was very popular. So, they decided to keep us both in a soild white turtleneck everyday, which we weren't expecting. It was frustrating being in a soild white shirt from October to March. But, the white turtlenecks really made us stand out in our windsuits. There were times we left our jackets unzipped and times we zipped our jackets up to the cleavage level. During PE, we always removed our jackets and went to PE in our white turtlenecks and our windsuit pants. We loved being water and wind proof, being in a bright shiny, silky, and smooth suits, and we were able to wear them in the winter as much as we wanted.
Windsuit Girl - November 09, 2018 - Report this comment
I wore these suits all the time, when I was in grade school. During my first two years of school, I saw all my friends and teachers in windsuits during the fall and winter weather. After my best friend started wearing them, I decided that I wanted to have some suits of my own so I could wear them with her my other friends. When I was going into 2nd grade, my parents bought me several windsuits when we went school clothes shopping. When I went back to school, I told my best friend that we'd be able to wear our windsuits together. I told her as soon as the first opportunity came along, I would be wearing a windsuit to school. She even decided to wear one too on that day, since it would be my first time in and suit and we had been wearing a windsuit on the same day. I loved the idea of us being in windsuits, when I wore one for the first time. In late October it was getting really cold and our teacher told everyone to dress warmer so we wouldn't be cold on the play ground. My best friend and I decided the next day, we would both wear windsuits the next day. We both had a lot of suits that came from Walmart. We thought it would be fun if we wore matching suits the next day and we decided to both wear our hot pink and dark purple suit. We decided that we'd also wear a pale pink floral tee shirt the next day. She promised me that she'd be waiting for me in the lobby the following morning. The following morning, I got up early since I was excited about wearing the same suit as my best friend. When I put my tee shirt and my windsuit on, I stared in the mirror looking at my in shiny and bright suit. I went to get my shoes on and I noticed my pants were noisy and swishy. Which was something I hadn't noticed when other wore them. I was nervous about wearing my suit to school because I'd be swishing around school all day. When I got to school, my best friend was waiting in the lobby for me like she promised. She asked how I felt being in my first suit. I told I was nervous because I never paid attention to the swishy sound before. She told me that she felt the same way when she wore her first windsuit and that was why she decided to wear one with me. We walked into the bathroom. She told me to just walk around the room. So, I did and after awhile she joined me. Then we both ran in place for several minutes. My best friend asked how I felt being in the suit after I had to get used to hearing myself swishy. I explained I was as nervous as I was and I was actually beginning to like be in my suit. She told me she was nervous when she wore her first suit and that was how she got used to the swishing sound. She even said that was one of her favorite things about wearing windsuits. She told me that she spent time in the mornings when she got dressed walking around so she could listen to herself swishy. So, we decided that we'd both walk around some more so we could listen to ourselves swishy together. We walked around until it was time for school to start and we went to class. At recess we walked around the playground and listened to ourselves swishy around. She asked me how I felt about being in the suit then and I told her I was comfortable and was beginning to like hearing my self swishy. My best told me that she was going to stay in a suit full time until spring and I decided to do it too. But, our parents kept us in white turtlenecks on really cold days.
Windsuit "Twin" Day - January 14, 2019 - Report this comment
When I was in grade school, I wore windsuits to school a lot. I had a few suits with hoods,I had one suit where I had to pull the jacket over my head because it didn't zip all the way down, I had a suit with tear away pants, I had a few suits with zippers on each pant leg with ankle bands, and I had one suit that consisted of a pair of pants a vest instead of a jacket. But most of my suit just had jacket that zipped down and pants with an elastic band around the waist without zippers on the legs or ankle bands. I started wearing the suits after I saw my the other kids in my class wearing them. Shortly after I started wearing windsuits, my best friend asked me what it was like to be in suit of my own. I told her they were comfortable and they warm, but you didn't get hot in them like sweatpants. She told me that after she had seen me in my windsuits that she decided that she wanted to start wearing them too. I told her that I loved that idea and we could also wear a windsuit on the same day like all of the other little girls and their best friends did. It wasn't too long before my best friend had finally gotten several suits of her very own. One day at school she told me that she was going to wear a windsuit to school the next day and it was going to be the very first time wearing one. I told her that I had been looking forward to her wearing them and I was a little jealous of the other little girls because they had windsuit "twin" days where they both picked a day that they were going to wear the same windsuit and shirt on the same day; And now that she had some windsuits of her own we could also have a windsuit "twin" day anytime we wanted. So, she asked me if we could have our very first windsuit "twin" day the following day since it would also be her first time in a suit. I loved the idea. The next day we both wore a bright pink suit and a light pink tee shirt. When I first got to school, I was excited when I saw my best friend in her suit. We both went to the bathroom so see what we both looked like in our matching windsuits. My friend was also a bit nervous because the swishy sound was much louder than it was when someone else was wearing one. I told her that was my one of the things I notice when I wore a windsuit for the first time. And I was also nervous about people hearing me coming down the hall. But, I explained that recess was a big help because I was able to walk around and get used to hearing myself swish around in my own suit. But, I had over heard some kids talking about wearing a windsuit the following day since we had PE, and that what gave me the courage to wear my first windsuit. When the bell rang, we went to class and it turned out that we were the only ones in our class wearing windsuits. During, recess we walked around so my friend could get used to hearing herself swishing around in her windsuit all day. She got used to it after we walked around together for a couple of minutes. Then she said she was starting to enjoy hearing herself swishing around. I told her that was one of my favorite things about being in a windsuit. By the end of the day, she felt comfortable about wearing a windsuit. And they became her favorite thing to wear. She wanted to be in one was much as she could too. During the warmer weather she wanted to wear them, and I told her I wore my everytime it rained and/or had a windy day. My friend liked to talk about going shopping and picking out windsuits. The following year, she had asked people if they owned a windsuit or ever wore one. Our teacher got on her and asked her if that was all she had in her closet and she was trying to get attention. It upset my friend, especially because she had a windsuit on that day. At recess she was upset and was thinking about not wearing them anymore and told me about the teacher getting on her. I told her that my parents got on my for talking about windsuits and asking people if they wore them. I explained that a teacher told me they didn't want to hear my talking about them at school again. I told my friend that they also got on me for talking about play station and if it was all I did. My friend asked me if we could talk windsuits when it was just the two of us and I told her that I'd like it and that could be our secret. We'd talk about going shopping for windsuits, if we saw any we liked, or recommended for each other. I told my friend that if she agreed to wear windsuit the next day, that I would wear one too and we could even make it a windsuit "twin" day. She was agreeable and asked if I'd wear my black and light purple suit with a light purple tee shirt. The following day we both wore our suits. Our teacher left her alone. At recess, we were talking about getting to wear our suits more often after fall break. I told my friend that I was thinking about staying in a windsuit all through the fall and winter months since they were my favorite thing to wear, but I was nervous because our teacher had made a remark to me about my suit not too long ago. My best friend told me that kids would be wearing them all the time. She was planning on wearing a windsuit at least two or three times a week during the fall and winter weather. But, after she heard my idea about staying in them full time, she was beginning to think about wearing a windsuit to school everyday. My best friend didn't want to wear sweatpants or cotton pants to school either and she said she knew that we'd be much more comfortable wearing a windsuit. I agreed with her and said that it would give me the opportunity to wear a suit more frequently to school than I had in the past. She decided that she was going to support me. She told me that if I wore a windsuit to school full time all through the fall and winter weather, she was going to wear them full time too. I told her that I could tell that it was something she really wanted to do too and that it would be nice to stay in our windsuits since we both loved wearing them and we'd be getting to wear our favorite type of clothes everyday. So, we agreed that our first day of staying in windsuit full time would start when we returned from fall break. My best friend mentioned that on cold days her parents were going to keep her in long sleeve shirts. I wasn't surprised because my parents had told me the same thing. When we came back from fall break, I wore an orangish pink windsuit with an organish pink floral tee shirt and my friend wore a light blue suit with a light blue floral tee shirt. Some of the other kids returned in windsuits too. Everyone else wore a jacket with their jeans and tee shirt, while everyone in a windsuit just came to school since the jacket was part of our outfit. That was one of our favorite parts of being in a suit everyday during the fall weather. When it got colder, we decided to try the turtleneck and windsuit combo since we had never wore a turtleneck with a windsuit before. We had a windsuit "twin" day so we wanted to experience the windsuit and turtleneck combo together. We both wore a purple and teal suit with a soild white turtleneck, but we didn't like the white turtlenecks because they got dirty really quick. So, the next day we decided we'd have another windsuit "twin" day and wear another color turtleneck besides white. So, we wore dark pink suits and pink turtlenecks. We were going on a field trip that day, but we didn't make it to the bus because someone closed the bathroom door and when it shut there was no handle on the door. Every classroom in our hall was going to be empty since those classes were going on the trip too. We had our lunch boxes, so we didn't have to worry about not getting any lunch. They had showers in the bathroom, so it gave us the idea to get changed into a our swimsuit and use the showers as sprinklers that kids run through in the summer. I changed into a pale pink swimsuit and my friend changed into a bright pink swimsuit. We turned the showers on and ran under them. And we splashed each other with water. After spending time playing in the showers, we put our windsuit pants back on over swimsuits. My friend asked me if I had ever walked around in my windsuit just for fun and so I could hear myself swishy. I told her that I hadn't done it before. She said that she walked around her bedroom every morning after she got dressed because she loved being able to hear her self swishy. Start off she was the only one who walked around, then I did it, and then we both did it together which was way more fun. She also came up with an idea to play simmon says. But, in order to play we had to slip our jackets back on. Starting out she explained that this simmon says was different. Which was only going be walking around, running in place, sitting down on a bench and rubbing our legs together, or rubbing our arms against our jackets so we could have fun getting to hear ourselves swishy. Another thing that was different, was that it would be Swishy says instead of Simmon says. She started off as Swishy and told me what to do. It was tricky since I was so used to hearing Simmon says instead of Swishy says. But, it was fun and when it was turn to be Swishy, I had my best friend running in place or walking around for several minutes. We thought of another thing we could do and we thought it would be fun to enjoy hearing ourselves swish around while we said "swishy, swishy, swishy" non stop. So my friend started walking around the large bathroom and I said "swishy, swishy, swishy," non stop until she stopped walking. Then when I walked around, she said "swishy, swishy, swishy" non stop while I walked around. After we both had a turn we decided that we'd both walk around and say "swishy, swishy, swishy," nonstop together which was more fun. Then we had a lunch break. After lunch we decided to run through the showers, but we slipped our jackets off and just ran through the showers in our swimsuits and windpants on. Later slipped our jackets on and it was just like a rainy day.
Swishy 2nd Grader - January 24, 2019 - Report this comment
After I saw my friends at school wearing their bright, shiny, and swishy windsuits to school, I decided that I wanted to start wearing the suits too. My parents bought my some windsuits when the fall clothing came out. The classroom was cold so I wore a dark pink windbreaker jacket to class. In early to mid November, it was cold enough for me to wear a windsuit to school. I got up early and ate my breakfast and brushed my teeth. I wanted to get dressed as quickly as I could, so I would have the suit on for as long as I could that day. My suit consisted of a pair of pink tear away pants with purple button that snapped, a pink, purple, and white multicolored hooded jacket that zipped up. I decided to wear a pink tee shirt with monkeys on it. I closed my door and decided that I was going to tell my parents I was looking for a shirt that would go good with my suit, so I could have alone time while walked around in my windsuit listening to myself swish around. Once I had my windsuit pants and tee shirt on, I started walking around. I found out with me having a pair of windsuit pants on my body, the swishy sound was louder than it was when I just heard someone else swishing around in their windsuit. I put my jacket on and zipped it up as far as it would go and I continued to walk around my room until my parents took me to school. When I got to school, my other friends were wearing windsuits too. I was excited when the bell rang and I could begin my first day at school wearing a windsuit. Anytime we lined up, my pant legs swished together during walking and followed me around until we reached the location we were going to and I had to take a seat. Then when it was time to leave, my pants started swishing and didn't stop until we went back to class. During recess, I was able to swish around until we lined up to go back inside. We went straight to PE and I'd be swishing around until I took my seat in the classroom after PE. After school that day, I stayed after school for a friends birthday party in the gym and I swished around a lot during the party. After I spent my first day in my suit, I loved being in the suit. It was much more comfortable than overalls, tight cotton knit pants, and hot sweatpants. I also loved being able to swish around anytime I moved around. The suits had became my favorite thing to wear to school and I asked for more suits for Christmas. I needed up getting several suits for Christmas and I could wear a windsuit to school as much as I wanted. I decided that I was going to wear them everyday. On the first day back from Christmas break, it was my 8th birthday. I decided that I was going to wear a red and black windsuit with a red tee shirt to school. We had a field trip later on to see a movie and go to a museum.I wore a light blue and grey suit with a blue tee shirt. One of my friends' sisters was a grade a head of me and her class was going on the trip too. When we were getting on the bus, we noticed that we both had on the exact same windsuit.
Multicolored/Color Block Suits - February 14, 2019 - Report this comment
In grade school, I owned dozens of shell suits. All of the suits I owned was either color block or multicolored. My favorite suit consisted of a pair of navy pants with a narrow hot pink stripe going down each pant leg. The jacket was navy and it had a wide hot pink stripe going across the front. A thin hot pink stripe was going down each sleeve. The cuffs and the collar were royal blue. My other favorite suit consisted of purple pants with a thin teal stripe going down each pant leg. The jacket was purple and it had a wide teal stripe going across the front. A thin teal stripe was going down each sleeve. The cuffs and collar of the jacket was black.

These suits were also popular during the late 90's and early 00's. I started wearing windsuits when I was about seven and wore them for a few years. When fall weather arrived, I could start wearing my windsuits as much as I wanted. On windy days my nylon pants and jacket would be flapping in the wind, on rainy days, my suit was water proof. I was swishing around school everyday, no matter what type of weather we had. I always got up every morning, so I could hurry up and change into a windsuit. As soon as I put on my wind suit pants, I would start swishing when I started walking until I came home from school. During the winter months, a lot of my friends were wearing wind suits to school everyday too. On really cold days, my parents had me wear a turtleneck with my windsuit. One time I wore a bright pink and pale pink windsuit to school with a pale pink tee shirt. Two of my other friends were wearing windsuits. Anytime, my class was going to a special area or in the hall it was very noisy.
jogging suit kid - March 25, 2019 - Report this comment
These suits were very popular when I was school and tons of teachers and students wore them. After I wore my first jogging suit to school, they became my favorite type of clothing to wear to school. I had suits with and without lining so I could wear them at time during the school year. Normally, I either wore a solid color tee shirt, a striped tee shirt, a floral tee shirt, or a turtleneck with my jogging suits. On rainy days, I was one of the many students and teacher who just showed up in a jogging suit. I liked being a bright, shiny, colorful, and swishy jogging suit. I loved the noise the pants made when my legs rubbed together, so every morning I'd get up early so I could get dressed. I'd always close my door, so I could have my secret swishy time. That was where I'd rub my legs together, run in place, or walk around my room. During my secret swishy time, I wanted to swishy non stop for ten minutes, so once I started swishy time I wouldn't stop moving until those ten minutes were up. Normally, I'd just be in my shirt and jogging suit pants, unless I was wearing a turtle neck. When I wore turtlenecks, it felt odd being in half a jogging suit because the turtleneck was suppose to make the suit stand out. And the jacket was either be zipped up to the cleaveage level or completed unzipped. When I had my complete suit on, I'd have five extra minutes of swishy time. And then after swishy time, I'd finish getting ready for school. When I got to school, a lot of my other friends and teacher would be in jogging suit too. One of the little girls that I was friends with who was in my class wore jogging suits as much as I did. One time we both showed up in a purple jogging suit and light purple tee shirt. Another
Favorite Time of Year - June 03, 2019 - Report this comment
When I was a kid, I always looked forward to the fall when the weather started to get cold. That meant I could pack up my shorts, capri pants, and summer overalls up for the spring. I would finally be able to get out my wind pants and my windsuits. I had a few suits without lining that I wore on rainy days since I hated to wear rain coats and I didn't want to go several months without being able to wear a wind suit off and on. Once I was able to get out suits and pants, I also always out my turtlenecks and hung them with my suits. Even though it wouldn't be cold enough to wear them until late October - early November, I liked to see my turtlenecks hanging up with my suits. Most of turtlenecks were white, but I did have some in pastel colors.
Hated these suits - June 13, 2019 - Report this comment
When I was in 3rd grade, my parents decided that they were going to decide what I wore to school mostly and I only got to pick what I wanted to wear once a week. Windsuits were so popular then, my parents bought my tons of them to wear simply because they were in style and other kids were wearing them. When I wore the suits they put me in shirt that was a lighter shade of the main color of my windusuit. I used to cry and tell them I didn't want to wear them. But, they told me "It's my day, remember? You have to wear what I want to you to wear today." So, I got stuck wearing them anyway. They never failed to make a swishing sound when I walked. When November weather arrived, I was forced to wear them almost daily to school and I either had to wear a solid color tee shirt that was a light shade of the main color of my suit, a solid white tee shirt, a tee shirt with Winnie the Pooh, or a turtleneck. At least once a week I got stuck wearing a Winnie the Pooh shirt and it caused me to hate Winnie the Pooh because it reminded of having to wear outfits that I hated and my teacher was mean and used to make me go sit down anytime I asked for help.
Loved Wind Suits - July 11, 2019 - Report this comment
I remember when I was 7, I was really wanting to wear windsuits with my friends. Before school started, my parents took me to several stores so I could look at windsuits and try them on. Once I tried one on, I instantly loved the outfit and wanted to wear them to school all through the cold weather. I was tired of wearing tight cotton pants and sweatpants all the time; my parents even bought a few pairs of windpants to wear on days I wasn't in a suit They offered to buy me a new rain coat since I out grew my old one but I told them that I'd rather be in a windsuit on a rainy day. I remember telling my best friend Pearl that we could both come to school wearing wind suits as much as we wanted. Pearl loved windsuits and you could always expect to see her wearing one when ever she got the opportunity. When we had our first rainy day that year, Pearl and I decided that we would both wear our grey and pink color blocked windsuit with a pink tee shirt. I was so excited that morning because I instantly fell in love with the suits when I tried my first one on and I also fell in love in with the swishing sound the pants made. Unlike the dressing room, I wouldn't have the suit on for a few brief minutes. This time I was going to stay in suit and leave my house wearing it. That meant, I was going to be swishing around all day. When I got to school Pearl was wearing the same outfit. She asked how it felt being my suit and I told her I was very comfortable. We got a lot of nice compliments on how nice we looked in our outfits. Once we could wear shorts, Pearl and I were in windsuits everyday. After Halloween, Pearl and I started wearing turtlenecks with our windsuits. We had suits in all colors, but most of them were pink or purple. When ever we were in one of our pink or purple suits, we always were in a light pink or light purple turtlenecks. The rest of the time we both were in solid white turtlenecks. We had three field trips before Christmas. One was to see a play, one was to a tree farm to get our class Christmas tree, and the other was to the junior high school to a band concert. All three of those times we both wore one of our favorite outfits a pink, purple, and white color blocked windsuit with a white turtleneck.
Suit Up - July 13, 2019 - Report this comment
I loved wearing windsuits when I was in the elementary grades. I didn't wear them until I was around 8 years old. Until then, I wore sweatpants and cotton knit pants that looked like legging. The kids in my class started to come to school in shiny, smooth, and silky looking suits. The suits were mostly a solid color or color blocked. I decided that I was going to start wearing the suits with my friends. I had no idea what the suits were called and I just described them to my parents. They told my that those suits were called windsuits and they'd be happy to take me shopping to try some on to wear to school in the fall. I picked out several suits that I liked and wanted to try on my. My parents picked out solid color tee shirts for me to try on with the outfits. They even had me try on a turtleneck with my outfit. I went into a dressing room and decided that I was going to try on a solid dark pink windsuit with a petal pink turtleneck. I just stood in front of the mirror. I was finally in a shiny, silky, bright, and smooth wind suit. After just standing there, I noticed that I hadn't taken one step since I changed into the suit. I always wonder what it would be like if I was the one of the kids who was swishing around class when ever I moved. I started walking and my pants started making a swishy sound as I walked around the dressing room. When I stopped moving the swishing noise stopped. It wasn't like I was walking with a friend who was in a suit. They swishy sound was much louder. I started to walk around the dressing room again and I started to swish around. Since I was the person in the suit, my movements would determine when I would start swishing around and when I stopped swishing around. After spending a few minutes enjoying hearing myself swishy in the dressing room. I stepped out and showed my parents. They thought I looked nice in the suit. I told them that I wanted to wear a windsuit to school all through the fall and winter weather. My parents were fine with the idea. But, they decided that once it got really cold, they were going to keep me in long sleeve tee shirts. On really cold days, they were going to keep me in turtleneck. The only time I could wear short sleeves during the cold weather was on days I had gym class. Most of the turtlenecks that they bought me to wear with my suits were white. Since most of my suits were pink or purple, they bought me tee turtlenecks in any shade of pink or purple that they could find. With the soild color tee shirts they purchased several solid white tee shirts in long sleeves and short sleeve. I also had tee shirts in all shades of pink and purple that they could find. When school started back me and the other little girls talked about getting new windsuits that we were going to be wear when it got cold. I also had speech class twice a week and I had my favorite teacher. I was the only one in the class and we talked about our summer. I told her that I went shopping for windsuits and I liked them so much better than sweat pants and knit pants. I explained my parents bought me enough suits so I could wear one every day when the weather got cold. My favorite teacher told me that she went shopping too and bought a lot of new windsuits too. I asked her if they were her favorite thing to wear and she said they were. She'd rather be in a windsuit than she would in any other type of clothing. She was also planning on wearing windsuits to school full time once it was cold. She explained it was nice to feel comfortable around someone enough to talk about her favorite type of clothing. I explained I felt the same way. My parents didn't wear the suits and said that I talked about the suits and didn't need to ask people if they owned a windsuit or not. My favorite teacher said she knew the feeling and we could talk to each other about how much we liked windsuits. She asked if once the weather got cold and we were both in windsuits everyday, if I'd like to take a walk with her outside during our regular class time. I told her I would love that and it would be nice to walk around outside. Once it got colder, we both picked a day for us to go on our walk. Since it was going to be chilly, she recommended that I dressed warm and wore a suit that had a hooded jacket. On the day of our walk I wore a solid dark pink windsuit with light pink turtleneck. My teacher wore a dark blue windsuit with a dark blue turtleneck. When I got to class, she had put her keys in her pocket since we were going out the back door. All of the classroom doors were shut so we didn't have to worry about anyone hearing us coming down the hall. When we got outside, we zipped up our jackets as far as they would go and we put on our hoods. We started to walk and we started to swish around together. As we were walking, we were talking about what we liked about being in the suits. Both of us liked being able to grab an outfit without worrying if it was ironed or not, almost any type of turtleneck or tee shirt would go with it and swishing around anytime we moved around. I told her that once I put my suit on in the morning, I'd walk around non stop for ten minutes and enjoy hearing myself swishy and as I was swishing for those ten minutes and would say "Swishy, swishy, swishy," in a very quiet voice. My teacher said that she had never done it before and that I really appericated being able to wear my favorite type of outfit and enjoy hear myself swishy. She thought it would be fun if we both took ten minutes to walk around and say "Swishy,Swishy,Swishy," repeatedly as we walked around together. But, we should say "Swishy,Swishy, Swishy," in a louder and more cheerful tone. I was worried someone would hear us if we were on the play ground. Once we were on the play ground, we started to walk around and say "Swishy,Swishy,Swishy," as we walked around.
Our Swishy Swimsuits - September 09, 2019 - Report this comment
When I was attending grade school, I was best friends with a girl named Patti. We both loved to go shopping and go swimming. Anytime, we went shopping, we both loved to go look at swimsuits and try them on. Both of us went swimming together a few times a week at the beach, when her family took their boat out, or in her pool. Anytime, we went swimming, we both liked to stay in our swimsuits all day since we got back in the water after meals and swam or did activities in the water. Each year, we both bought several swimsuits since we went swimming a few times a week together. And usually by the end of the summer, we both wore out a lot of the swimsuits we bought and had to replace them. Another thing that Patti and I loved to try on were windsuits and turtlenecks. During the winters, we both loved wearing a windsuit with a turtleneck. If we weren't in a windsuit, we were both in a pair windpants and a tee shirt. Our other best friend, Gail loved to wear windpants and we liked to wear windpants with her from time to time. It didn't make much difference to us if we were in a windsuit or a pair of windpants, because we at least had windsuit pants on, which was our favorite part of being in windsuit. Patti and I loved the swishy sound the pants made when we moved around in them. One time Patti and I were going to spend a week together when her parents took their boat out on the water. I asked Patti if she had ever spent more than 24 hours in a swimsuit before. She never had and asked me. I hadn't either. Then I turned around and asked her if she had ever wore a windsuit with only her swimsuit on underneath. We were going shopping and decided that we'd try on a windsuit with a swimsuit on underneath. We both tried on a leopard print swimsuit with a black windsuit without any lining. It was very comfortable and we both came swishing out in our black windsuits. Our jackets were unzipped and we could see the other one had a swimsuit on. We slipped off our jacket and talked about how comfortable we were. We both wanted to know what it would be like if we both had to stay in a swimsuit and the only clothing we could put was a windsuit. We thought that we could both pick out a few more matching swimsuits to wear on her family's boat during that week. So we both picked out a zebra print swimsuit, a purple swimsuit, a blue floral swimsuit, a lavender swimsuit, a melon (pinkish orange) swimsuit, and a raspberry color swimsuit. We also picked out another windsuit to wear, which was purple. We were excited about wearing swimsuits full time for 7 days. It dawned on us that our parents wouldn't let us sleep in a swimsuit. So, we thought that we'd put our swimsuits on that we planned to wear the next day after our showers and put our pajamas on over them. Then when everyone was asleep, we'd take our pajamas off and sleep in our swimsuits. No one would no since as soon as we got up we always changed into swimsuits immediately. Patti and I decided that we'd wear our windpants when we weren't in the water. On the first day of fall break we began the experiment. Her parents decided they weren't going to take the boat out so we had to make due with her pool. We stayed in the water most of the day. But, her parents had to go out of town one day and left us at her house. We couldn't get in the water. Once her parents were gone, we removed our wind suit jackets and sat around in our swimsuits and windpants. We were both getting frustrated with being in swimsuits all the time. But, we wanted to finish. So, we thought we could walk around her room listening to ourselves swishy while her parents were away. Patti thought it would be fun if we both said "Swishy, swishy, swishy," in squeaky voices. We started to walk around and Patti started saying "Swishy, Swishy, Swishy," in a high squeaky voice as we walked around. After ten minutes, I had to do it. So, I got my voice as squeaky as I could and started to say "Swishy, swishy, swishy," over and over as we walked. After another ten minutes was up, we both said "Swishy, swishy, swishy," in squeaky voices together. So, we spent the whole day walking around listening to ourselves swishy and use squeaky voices. By the end of the week, we were glad to be done since we didn't like being in a swimsuit all the time.
Swishy matching favorite outfits - September 19, 2019 - Report this comment
During grade school, I wore a lot of wind suits to school and so did my best friend. During the winter, we always wore turtlenecks with our wind suits. One year, we both wanted to wear our wind suits and turtlenecks more often. We both told each other that we were really wanting to wear them to school everyday all through winter, but hadn't decided for sure; since we knew there would be days that we'd be the only kid in class swishing around school. I suggested that since we both really wanted to wear our favorite type of outfits everyday, we could both wear a turtleneck and a wind suit all through winter. And if we were in the same type of outfit, there would be at least two people in class swishing around school everyday. So, we both decided that we'd wear our favorite outfits everyday. At the end of October, we started to wear our wind suits to school everyday. It was colder that year and more students were in windsuits than we thought. At Christmas, we both got a bright purple, teal green, and black color blocked windsuit and a white turtleneck with a ruffled neck and sleeve cuffs to wear with it. We both decided to wear it on the same day. We both loved swishing sound the pants made when we moved around; anytime we both got a new windsuit, we always wanted to wear it on day that we'd be doing a lot of moving so we could swishy as much as possiable. We decided to wear it on a Thursday since we'd be going to computer class, writing class, and PE. Those classes were spread out in different parts of the school and our class was in another hall way at the end very end of the hall and we'd be swishing all the way down our hallway and walking to another part of the school and swishing all the way to down that hall to get to computer class, then we'd be swishing a little more just a short distance to writing, swishing all the way back to our class room, swishing all through recess, and then we'd be swishing all the way down our hallway and to the middle of the next hall walking down a small stair case, and swishing all through PE. We both loved the idea that there would a lot of swishing involved and decided to wear our outfits on that day. We had a sleep over the night before and got up early to get dressed about 5 in the morning, so we could start swishing around in our new outfits. When I got my purple wind suit pants on and my white turtleneck, my best friend told me that she spent time every morning listening to herself swishy for ten minutes. During those ten minutes there was no speaking unless you said "Swishy, swish, swishy, swish," or "Swishy, swishy, swishy, swishy," repeatedly. I suggested starting out one of us could say "Swishy, swishy, swishy, swishy," while the other one said "Swishy, swish, swishy, swish". And we'd both have to speak in a squeaky voices the whole time. My friend loved the idea and said for the first two minutes, I'd say "Swishy, swishy, swishy, swishy," while I ran in place and while she walked around the room; then she'd say it for the next two minutes while running in place, while I walked around the room. Then I'd say "Swishy, swish, swishy, swish," for two minutes and while I sat down and rubbed my legs together, while she ran in place. then she'd say it when she sat down and rubbed her legs together and while I ran in place . Then the last two minutes we'd both say "Swishy, swishy, swishy, swishy," and we'd both just walk around the room. I looked at the clock and notice we were running earlier and would have twenty extra minutes. So, during the first five minutes we'd say "swishy, swish, swishy, swish," together while we ran in place. Then the next fifteen minutes we'd play Swishy says. During swishy says, we'd both put on our jackets. And swishy would speak in a squeaky voice, and tell the other one to run in place, walk around the room, sit down and rub their legs together and their arms against their jackets. And when the person playing swishy didn't say swishy says and the player did the command, they had to walk with their legs apart while saying "swishy, swishy, swishy, swish, swishy, swish, swishy, swish," repeadly in a squeaky voice until swishy gave them another command. So, for the next half hour we spent time enjoying ourselves being able to swishy together. The most fun was speaking in squeaky voices and playing swishy says. After we ate breakfast we left for school. We got to school, we were excited for the day to start. We went into the bathroom to see if we looked better with our jackets unzipped or zipped up to the cleavage level. We ended up leaving our jackets unzipped and went to class. When we got in class, our swishy matching outfit day began. We did more swishing than we realized, since we swished when we got up to turn in assignments, lining up to go to another class, walking down the halls, going through the lunch line, etc. We both wore more matching outfits during the winter.
Winnie the Pooh and purple outfit - November 13, 2019 - Report this comment
I had a lot of soild color wind suits as well as color blocked suits. All through primary school and part of elementary school, I wore them every year. I'd usually start wearing my windsuits once fall weather arrived and I'd be in one three times a week. Then when winter arrived, I wore one to school every day. I wore a lot of turtlenecks with my wind suits and I even wore tee shirts with them. I had a white tee shirt with Winnie the Pooh resting his foot on a honey pot that I wore with a purple, black, and teal green windsuit, when I was in 3rd grade. My parents decided what I'd wear three days a week and I got to decide what I wanted to wear two days a week. I woke up one morning and my mom told me I had two choices. A pale green tee shirt with a dark green cotton vest and a pair of dark green cotton pants. My other choice was the white Winnie the Pooh tee shirt with the purple windsuit, I chose it since I hated the green outfit. My white tee shirt was too long and I had to tuck it in my pants, which covered up half the shirt.
Swishy Friends - December 02, 2019 - Report this comment
My friends Patti and Gail and I liked to wear wind suits to school and we often picked a day where we both wore matching windsuits. One time, our friend Gail told Patti and I that she was thinking about only wearing a white turtleneck and a windsuit to school all through winter. She had never done it before and wondered what it would be like, if she had to pack up all her school clothes expect for her favorite thing to wear to school and live life like normal. She decided to do it because she loved the suits, wouldn't have to worry about having her clothes ironed everyday, she'd be able to walk outside and be wind and rain restaint, She'd be warm, and she would get to hear the neat swishing sound the pants made when she walked. We asked Gail why she decided to only wear white turtlenecks and she told us that white would go with any color and that it really made the suits stand out. And she decided that she wanted to stay in the same color turtleneck everyday while she was doing the experiment. Patti and I decided to join the windsuit club ourselves and join Gail during her experiment. We decided that we'd start in November and end during March. On our first day, we decided to wear the same outfit since we all wore the same outfit once a week. So, we all wore maroon, sliver, and white color blocked suits. We were having a pep-rally that day and we wanted to be dressed in school colors to show school spirit. All three of us had all of our classes together and it would be really noisy in the classroom when all three of us walked in and took our seats and when class was over and we were all walking to our next class. We had PE and one of the rules was that we had to change our clothes unless we had on windpants and then we'd only have to change our shirt. Patti, Gail, and I decided that we'd all wear a soild white short sleeve tee during PE. So, during PE we all swished around in our wind suit pants and white tee shirts. Once PE was over, we would quickly change back into our turtlenecks and slip our jackets back on. After Christmas, we were getting frustrated with being in white all the time since white stained easily. So, we decided that we'd wear pale colors too. One time we decided that we'd all light purple turtlenecks with a dark purple and light purple color blocked suit. Another time, we spent a four day weekend at Patti's. Gail wasn't able to attend, so it was just me and Patti. So, we wore short sleeve tee shirts. I wore a bright purple suit with a pale purple tee shirt, a bright pink suit with a pale pink tee shirt, Patti wore a red and blue color clocked suit with a royal blue tee shirt and a royal and white suit with a white UK tee shirt. Patti and I decided that we wanted to spend some time listening to ourselves swishy. So, we sat her room and walked around and listened to our pants rub together as we walked. Her parents had to work so we there by ourselves. I thought that we could listen to ourselves swish as we walked around through the house. I told Patti that she could go first and I'd start saying "Swishy, swishy, swishy," "Swish, swish, swish," and/or "Swishy, swish, swishy, swish," and while I was saying those three things she had to be walking, running in place, or sitting around and rubbing her legs together. I did that for about an hour and then I let her take a break. But, I got my payback because she said those three phrase for and hour and a half and I had to swish around until she said stop. We decided that we wanted to swish around together. So, we slipped on our jackets and started to walk around her house and we both said those phrases together for two hours in squeaky voices. Later on we went to Gail's and all three of us walked around listening to ourselves swishy as we said those words in squeaky voices. But, when we went to Gail's we decided to wear matching outfits. By the time the experiment was over we didn't want to get out of our windsuits. So, we finished up the year in windsuits with short sleeve tee shirts, or wearing wind suit pants with a tee shirt or a sleeveless polo shirt.
Hates These Suits More Than Anything - December 12, 2019 - Report this comment
I remember wanting to wear these suits so bad because my friends were wearing them. And I literally begged my parents to buy me some when I was in second grade. I wore them to school a lot and I wasn't paying attention to the swishing sound when I was wearing one. Any time I wore I wind suit to school, all I could think about was how I wasn't the only kid in class who didn't own a suit and how I liked being dressed like my friends. Then in 3rd grade I started wearing jeans and found out I liked them more than I did windsuits. When I put my first windsuit on that year, I noticed that they were noisy and were swishy. I didn't like wearing them to school. But, my parents had already bought me a lot of windsuits to wear to school. I begged them many times, not to make me wear them. But, they reminded me about the rule they had. If we bought something, I was going to wear it. So, I was forced to wear windsuits a lot during the colder weather. The pants never failed once to make noise when I walked. Whenever I was forced to wear a windsuit to school, the pants were always the last thing I put on. I hated that I could be heard a million miles away.
Swishy Patti - January 18, 2020 - Report this comment
These suits were still popular in the 90's and 2000's. I wore cotton pants since I didn't wear jeans. And my best friend Patti always preferred to wear a pair of sweatpants or athletic pants over jeans in the fall and winter weather. Patti also loved to wear turtlenecks. Her parents had seen others wearing the turtleneck and wind suit combo, so they took Patti to Walmart and had her try on a turtleneck and a windsuit. She immediately loved wearing the suit and decided that she wanted to wear a windsuit or a pair of windpants instead of sweatpants and athletic pants. And she found the prefect thing to wear to her turtlenecks with. She had worn a windsuit to school everyday for about a week or two and I wanted to wear them too. It turns out when I got home, Patti's parents called my parents and they had recommended windsuits to my parents. So, my parents took me to Wal-Mart and had my try on a windsuit with a solid color tee shirt and a turtleneck. Like Patti, I loved wearing being in the suit. So, my parents bought me some windsuits and some turtlenecks and some soild color tee shirts. I called Patti and told her that I had traded in my cotton pants for windsuits and I would be wearing a suit to school everyday. Due to it being cold my parents decided that I was going to be in long sleeves everyday and they decided that I'd be in turtlenecks everyday for the most part because they liked the combo. But, I wasn't much for turtlenecks. Patti asked me if I had an outfit picked out for the next day and I had to decided to wear a white turtleneck and a hot pink windsuit. So, Patti decided to wear the same outfit the following day too. She said that I would love wearing the suit all day and I would also love the swishy sound the pants made when they rubbed together. The following day, we were dressed alike and got compliments on how nice we looked. And like she said, I ended loving being in suit and hearing the swishing sound. I even liked wearing the turtlenecks because they went really well with my outfit.
Swishy says - February 05, 2020 - Report this comment
After me and my best friend Patti started wearing windsuits, our parents decided that they were going to keep us in them every year from mid September to mid April. During the warmer weather we both wore wind capri pants and a sleeveless polo shirt or a tee shirt everyday. When we were in high school, we were still wearing turtlenecks and windsuits to school full time all through winter. One time, I was at her house and we were going to spend a few days together. Her parents had to go out of town and they gave us money to order pizza. It was raining and we couldn't go out side to swim like we wanted to. I had brought a few windsuits and tee shirts to wear while I was there. Patti and I both were wearing pink windpants and a light pink floral tee shirts. We decided that we would walk around the house so we could swish around. Both of us loved to wear windpants and windsuits because we liked to hear ourselves swishy when our tight rubbed together during walking. We walked around the whole house and we were still board. I suggested that we played Simmon says, but it would be Swishy says. Who ever was swishy had would instruct the player to walk around, take a seat and rub their legs together, or run in place. To make it interesting I told Patti if she followed an instruction where Swishy didn't say Swishy says, she would have to walk around and she had to either say "Swishy, swishy, swishy, swishy," or "Swishy, swish, swishy, swish." Patti asked if she could say anything else and besides those two phrases and I said no because those two phrases were connected to listening to our ourselves swishy. Patti asked how long she would have to walk around saying those two phrases and I said an hour. She asked if she could communicate with me and I told her if she did, she had to say "swish, swish, swish, swish," so I'd know she was wanting communicate and while she was communicating with me she had to say "swishy, swishy, swishy, swishy," or "Swishy, swish, swishy, swish," in a squeaky voice. And when she was finished communicating with me she had to say "swish, swish, swish, swish." And then she could speak in her normal speaking voice. Patti asked what we'd call that and I told her it would be windsuit language, while she was pretending to be a windsuit. She said she didn't know how to be a windsuit; but, I told to just focus on how much she loved wearing windsuits and how she loved to hear herself swishy. I told her if she could do those things then she could be a great windsuit. Patti wanted to know if I'd be using windsuit language when we were communicating and I told her no because I wasn't pretending to be a windsuit. But, she could point to things if I couldn't understand what she was saying. I started off by giving commands and after a few commands I gave her a command but didn't say Swishy says and she did the command. I told her I didn't say Swishy says. Then I told her "Patti, you have been turned into a windsuit." Patti started walking around saying "swishy, swish, swishy, swish," and "swishy, swishy, swishy, swishy." She got frustrated and wanted to know how much longer she had and started speaking in a squeaky voice and was pointing at the clock. I thought she was doing a good job at prentending to be a windsuit so I acted like I didn't notice she was pointing at the clock. After an hour, I told her she was herself again. Patti was swishy and gave me a few commands and I eventually messed up. So, I had to be a windsuit and only speak in windsuit language for an hour. After the hour was up, we decided to get a tape recorder and we'd give commands so we both could play swishy says at the same time. After we gave many commands, I asked Patti if one of us messed up if the other one would keep going or they would win. She said they'd pause and keep an eye on the clock. And we decided if we both did a command where Swishy didn't say Swishy says, we'd both have to pretend that we had been turned into windsuits. But, we could only say "Swishy, swishy, swishy, swishy," in squeaky voices. If we wanted to communicate with each other we had to say "swish, swish, swish, swish," in a normal speaking voice to get the other one's attention. And while communicating we had to say "Swishy, swish, swishy, swish," in a normal speaking voice and we could point at objects if we couldn't understand each other. If we noticed anyone was coming we could say stop, but that was the only time we could speak out of windsuit language. But, while we were both windsuits, we had to stay in the same area. We decided that if we couldn't understand what the other one was saying we could run in place to end the Swishy says game. We both messed up after a few commands into the game had to swish around for an hour.

My best friend Patti started wearing windsuits after I started wearing them. Since we didn't wear jeans, we both wore a windsuit to school everyday. Patti always loved it when the weather was starting to get cold and she could wear turtlenecks with them everyday. Turtlenecks were her favorite type of shirts to wear. One time, Patti asked me if I'd consider to start wearing turtlenecks with me suits everyday like she did. I explained that didn't wear turtlenecks because they didn't seem to go with any outfit I was wearing, but I did have many turtlenecks that my parents had bought me. Patti suggested that we both wear matching windsuits the next day and we'd both wear turtlenecks. We had just bought a hot pink windsuit with a white nike check mark on the jacket in the top right corner, a nike check mark on the right pant leg, and black trimming along the pockets and a black stripe going down each pant leg and each sleeve. I asked Patti what color turtleneck would she recommend. She said white was the best because it really made your stand out in your windsuit and white would also look nice with any suit your wore. The following day, I was going to be staying a few days at Patti's since my parents were going out of town for business meetings; we decided to get dressed at the very same time, so we could both enjoy hearing ourselves start to swish around at the very exact moment. The next morning, Patti took a shower and came out in an orange bath robe. She was waiting for me to get out of the shower. She had her outfit laying on her bed and I was taking mine in the bathroom to change into after my shower. After I took a quick shower, I knocked on the door and told Patti that I was out and we could start getting dressed. She told me to knock again once I was in my white turtleneck and pink pants. We decided that we'd swish over to her bed where her jacket was laying and we'd put our jackets on at the same time. I couldn't wait to see what we'd look like being dressed alike. It took me no time to get in my white turtleneck and pink windsuit pants. I knocked on the door and Patti opened the door. It was neat seeing that we were dressed a like, especially since it was our first time wearing a turtleneck together. She asked if I was ready to take my first steps with her and start hearing ourselves swish around for the day. I told her that I was ready and we took our first steps and we both started swish over to her bed. We slipped our jackets on and decided to zip them up to the cleavage level. Patti asked me how it felt to be in a turtleneck. I told her that I was really comfortable and I had finally found an outfit that made me feel like my turtleneck was part of my outfit. And decided that starting from that day on, I'd be wearing turtlenecks all through winter with Patti. When we went down stairs her parents said we really looked nice in our matching outfits and they even took a picture of us together. Her parents left before us and they told us to have a good day at school and to enjoy our field trip to the museum. We decided since it was early November and it wasn't as cold, we'd just go to school in our matching outfits and not take our coats. When we arrived at school, people told us how nice we looked in our new outfits. We went to the bathroom to see how we looked in our matching outfits since we didn't look in the mirror before we left Patti's house. When we went into the bathroom, we were able to stand in front of the big wall mirror and see our whole reflections. We both agreed that we needed to have twin day more often. The bell rang and it was time for the bus to leave. We went outside to catch the bus but it left without us and it dawned on Patti that we were marked absent because we didn't stop in our first period class to take attendance. The door was locked and we couldn't get back into school. Patti had her car keys and decided that since we missed the bus, we should go to the movies, the mall, and even to the indoor pool.
Windsuit Patti - May 21, 2021 - Report this comment
My best friend Patti and I liked to wear windsuits, especially when we were in high school. One year, my parents and Patti's parents decided that they were going to keep Patti and I in windsuits because we were suppose to have a colder winter than normal. Even the fall was suppose to be colder. They decided after fall break, Patti and I would be returning to school in a windsuit and a long sleeve tee shirt. Once, the cold weather arrived, Patti and I would wear turtlenecks. We had a lot of windsuits that we bought before school started and most of them were a soild color. But, we did have a grey and pink color blocked suit, a purple and teal color blocked suit, a navy and pale orange color blocked suit, and a black and pink color blocked suit. Patti and I had already bought a turtleneck, a short sleeve tee shirt, and a long sleeve tee shirt to go with our color blocked suits. But, for our soild color windsuits, our parents decided that we'd wear soild white turtlenecks because white went with any color, they liked the white turtleneck and windsuit combo, and we wouldn't have to buy a turtleneck for each windsuit. Our parents also decided that we'd be wear soild tee shirts with our windsuits. So, they bought several white long sleeve tee shirts and several white turtlenecks for us to wear. On our first day back from fall break, Patti and I both wore our grey and pink color blocked windsuits and we wore a soild long sleeve pink tee shirt with them. It wasn't no time before the weather got colder and we had to wear our turtlenecks sooner. Our parents surprised us and they had bought us a pair of soild white tennis shoes to wear with our windsuits so our shoes would go with all of our outfits. One time we decied that we were going to dress alike for my birthday and Patti's birthday. For my birthday we both wore our black and pink suits with a pink turtleneck. And on Patti's birthday, Patti decided that she wanted us to wear our navy and pale orange suits with a pale orange turtleneck. Our parents let us wear a color blocked suit on Fridays. But, the rest of the time we had to wear a soild color windsuit with a white turtleneck. Patti and I decided to have a Windsuit Wednesday were we wore the same suit and we'd take turns deciding which outfit we'd wear. Once, we both wore a bright pink windsuit and a one of our white turtlenecks. I kept my jacket zipped to the cleavage level while Patti kept her jacket unzipped. Everyone got so used to seeing Patti and I in windsuits everyday, so when they heard a swishing sound, they knew it was me and Patti coming down the hallway. Patti loved to swish around in her suits and we'd often go to the bathroom to walk around so we could both listen to ourselves swishy together. It made twice the ammount of noise than it did when it was just one of us. Patti often removed her jacket and swished around in her pants. For PE, we had to change our shirts, so we always changed into a white sleeveless polo shirt. One time, we were going swimming and decided to wear our swimsuits underneath our windsuits. We went to the locker room to change into our swimsuits. I had wore a pink windsuit and had brought a soild pink swimsuit to change into. And Patti wore a dark green windsuit and brought a black swimsuit to change into. We left our windsuits in the changing stall as we were modeling in our swimsuits and had decided to play under the shower before school started.
