The equestrian theme was particularly popular in the 80's (intarsia equestrian themed sweaters, riding boots, cashmere sweater sets) especially horses. There was Jordache, Polo, and Saddlebred (a Polo knockoff). I did not ever have the jeans, but these little bags were cheap and I had a black satin one with a white horsehead.

These were often sold at flea markets where I lived. That's where I got mine. I had a black one with a white horse head logo, and a lavender one with a black or gray logo. Oh how I miss mine. :( I wore mine out playing house with them outside with my friends.

OK, ladies. If you haven't found him yet, there's a guy on eBay selling the real thing. Vintage, old-stock Jordache purses from the 80's. I got one from him several months ago, and he hasn't run out yet. Go to eBay, do a search on "jordache logo purse" and you'll very likely see one pop up. Good luck!

Dorene, I FOUND a lilac purple one of these in the McDonalds in Greenwood, Warwick, Rhode Island!! It was approximately 1981-2. Though I was curious as to it's contents I resisted the urge to peek inside. What 6 year old girl wouldn't want to check out what the older, sophisticated girls stuffed inside those things? I just turned it over to the manager trusting he would return it to it's owner.
