I had a gray pair that were the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They had a store in our mall, and sadly it never seemed to be very busy. But I loved those gray/green Jox and must have bought 3-pairs before they closed shop.

Thom Mc Cann would replacece your JOX if they were defective. Free of charge. As long as you turned in your previous pair.

They may have come out in the 70s but I remember as a kid in the 80s I wore them b/c my parents wouldn't buy me Nikes (which was very wise of them in retrospect) knowing I would outgrow them in 6 months. I had a pair of Jox high tops!

I know of a place that still has these jox in stock. Believe it or not they have many vintage sneaker. They are called the shoe kings. They are located in Camden nj. Most vintage can be located in their wonderful sneaker museum of a shop.

The blue jox were the most comfortable and light weight shoe I ever owned. Wish I would have bought a lifetime supply. Somebody please make this type of shoe again!

I believe they retailed for around 13.00 US. As a kid, I wore converse allstars at 7 bucks a pair. When I told Mom that I wanted JOX, she replied "I AM NOT paying thirteen dollars for a pair of sneakers." My, how times change.

They were from the 70s, not 80s. I was a soccer-style kicker when only the Gogolaks and Garo were in the NFL. It was hard to find a shoe that wouldn't scuff the ground. Jox had a short toe and I would wear one 1 size too small on my right foot only and change to go back to LB. Great shoes.

This would've been in the early 90's, but I'll never forget how excited we were when Mom bought us our Jox "pumps" hightop shoes. These came out when Nike's shoes with the built in air pumps were all the rage - but cost well over $100. I don't remember how much the JOX pumps cost, but they were significantly less, and actually inflated in many more places (the heel, tongue, etc.) than the Nike ones did.

I worker many Thom McAn Stores in Florida. The Jox pump was $39.99 and debuted with the vibranm bottom. I do know that the some of the women's made in the same factory as reebok. The aerobic Velcro top came in to me in Thom McAn box, and reebok label. To bad a great company went down the crapper and took chess King and fox moor along with them
