I bought my jacket from a collector who managed to WIN an MTV competition in 1985. She only ever put it on once and then locked it away for safe keeping. These were only ever available while "Desperately Seeking Susan" was being promoted during it's theatrical release and were produced in very limited amounts. I have my pristine jacket and I am NEVER letting it go!! Good luck finding one and be prepared to pay top dollar for one.

I sewed a size 18-20 u.s. jacket from a 17-wale corduroy in olive green with a metallic glitter. It's not an exact reproduction, has cheetah animal print for sleeve trim and collar trim, one button in front, and hand crafted embroidered appliques on the back. This is a roomy jacket for a bustier woman, and it's very wearable. Fully lined in black satin. I can put it on Ebay if anyone would be interested in this larger size.

Guys, I need help here. I used to own a DSS jacket that my mom bought for me when the movie came out. It was a medium & I sold it years ago on eBay. I kicked myself for years, but was needy at the time. I came across one on ebay recently & made an offer & bought it. I have some concerns though. When I had my jacket the M for medium was engraved on the original tag & the jacket's fabric was somewhat thick. This one I just bought has the size tag next to the Orion tag & the fabric is thinner.
