Description: We would porpusely cut up or rip our jeans to create frayed edges in the knee area, at the hemline, or the fanny (Then wore bike shorts underneath our ripped jeans)

I remember extreme versions of this from the late 80s: bleached denim, 80s-cut jeans with frayed-edge, horizontal slashes from top to bottom, so many that it looked like louvres. And people didn't always wear tights or bike shorts under them ...
