I got these when I started going goth in 3rd grade . I had lots of diff pairs even going to the army navy store for them. I think I stoped these shoes by college.

Used to buy these at Goodwill until Doc Martens became available in the states. Often worn with ripped jeans with black leggings underneath and Crest gel toothpaste to create liberty spikes.

My dad's a Vietnam Vet, I stole his boots and wore thm to school any time we had a day where we celebrated the military in some way. They were about 6 sizes too big, but that's what towels shoved in the toes were for!

I remember when status was measured in how many eyes someone's Doc Martens had.... But lacing them could take a frickn hour! I started out with Jungle Boots - they breathed and were $24 a pair at I Goldberg in Philly. Then- I saved up to plop $100 on a pair of Carolinas - the paratrooper boots with the zip down the side... Man, I lived in those boots!

Yep, I'm still wearing me old Bellevilles originally purchased in the states about 30 years later! I don't fancy myself punk in any real way yet England basically being the nerve centre, as it were, of punk it's hard to imagine being without them. Never could get into Docs, ugly things and since you can't find proper UK-made ones here of all places any more, they're even worse. Only resoled the Belles twice so far and I think they're coming due for another. Cheers mate
