Description: OP's were short corduroy shorts that zipped up the front with a wooden button or snap at the waist. Usually worn with a surfgear long sleeved t-shirt.

Actually, OP stands for Ocean Pacific and it was a cool surfing clothing brand name. We used to wear OP T-shirts, surf shorts (mostly the guys) and even swimsuits.

op's came in lots of colors and actually had a metal snap rather than a wood button. They were really short and showed a lot of leg, really comfortable. I still have mine and wear them oftern.

I live in Canada and would like to purchase some more OP Cord Shorts. Any ideas where I can find them? Mine are wearing out and nothing produced today compares.

Oh lordy... Had several pairs of these in 7th and 8th grade. I'm so glad they were out of style before I hit high school!
