Description
Sex: Female
Type of clothing: Clothing
When it was popular: 198?
Description: The clothing line of the Limited. You could tell if a girl wore OBR because they had the logo of the 3 letters sort of on top of one another. They had t-shirts with a notch in the scoop neck and the logo under it, polo shirts with the logo on the chest, and turtlenecks with the logo centered on the top of the back. OBR also had a distinctive sweater pattern, like the cables in the sweater were flat and straight until 1/3 of the way down and then they kind of braided together.

I was given an off-white OutbackRed turtleneck size Medium a few years ago by a friend who had "outgrown" it, but it has seen better days and is about to be donated to charity...the collar notched in front and the shoulder pads are very flattering. I wish someone made a similar product today.

I remember those! I had a seafoam/teal one and a pink one!

OMG Thanks for the memories! I loved these brands in junior high & high school, along with Guess, Jag, & Esprit. And Carrie's comment is too funny. Sea Foam and Teal were such hot colors back then!

I LOVED Outback Red and Forenza clothing, I wish The Limited still carried those brands!

Us guys in the "New Wave" set, would buy forenza pants in xx women's sizes. They actually made better NW baggies then any of the men's brands. The prefect dance pants.

LOVED my Outback Red baggie pants. One size too big and tight rolled at the bottom, of course. 1987-88

My mom and all of my teachers in late elementary through middle school wore Outback Red and Forenza clothes.

I love both brands. I remember everyone wearing lots of argyle and pins over the top of the shirt, like a broach. I actually bought a shirt at a garage sale that is to small, but it was an outback red, khaki and I had to get it

I LOVED OBR. I miss them. They were simple and stylish. Every once in awhile I will find a store that had a similar line. But alas, often they are not in women's sizes. I found a store in Big Bear CA that had really beautiful stuff, but not women's sizes.

OBR. My fave clothing line. Very feminine. I still have a beautiful mock turtle i bought in the 80's. Has the red OBR tag sewn on the outside on the back of the collar. Heavy sigh.

I bought all my clothes from The Limited in the 80's (Outback Red). Then they veered away from that look and it was all over for me. Still wish they made those baggy pants and safari shirts. Why stop a great thing?

I just bought a cream colored Forenza wool coat today at Salvation Army for $1.00. It's beautiful and in "mint" condition. I feel real lucky:-)

Just went to The Limited outlet store. Almost everything they carried was OBR!! Of course the styles have changed since they were sold in The Limited stores years ago, but the quality and the trendiness was right on mark!

I bought a black and purple Forenza sweater from the limited in about 1985 and I still wear it today. I paid $24 for it and I still get compliments on it. My daughter has even worn it. It's still my favorite sweater.

I am cleaning out a closet and I just found a Forenza skirt, black with muted tribal lizard designs. I lived this skirt soooo much, I could't throw it away! I was planning on making a pillow cover or something, but it still fits me. The length seems so long now--in my memory I though it was knee lenght, but it is closer to mid-calf.

I have 4 Forenza tank tops that are now, sadly, used only for painting. I'd give ANYTHING to get them new today!!!

Is it weird that my brother, who was a body builder at the time, alway wore my Forenza sweat shirts w/ his MC Hammer weight lifting pants?

Absolutely loved the Outback Red line at The Limited. My mother and I would go there all the time. My favorite was a pink floral henley top under a coca brown henley sweater with rolled hems. It had the best shoulder pads too!

My daughter had a rosy red OBR long sleeved mock turtle neck top she handed down to me years ago. It is my favorite winter time shirt, still soft and pretty. I love the way it feels and looks

I loved those outback reds, especially one particular skirt, mid-calf, dark khaki green, with a buckle detail near calf length, in the back. I am looking for this skirt, it doesn't matter the size, in hopeful good condition.

I've had an Outback Red long sleeve button down shirt for about 33 years. I've washed it on regular, cold with all colors probably over 200 times. It still looks new. I'm waring it today. So I was like, "this shirt is indestructable! What is it?" I looked and saw the tag said Outback Red so I looked that up. Wow! That is one good clothing company for durable and cute clothing!
