I had two of these. One red and white striped and one blue with balck pola dots. I miss them.

We didn't call these rah-rah skirts in the US in the early 80s. We just called them miniskirts, but I remember that they were popular in grey sweatshirt material, the way Norma Kamali originally showed them. Usually just-above-the-knee or to the lower thigh, sometimes shorter, two or three ruffles swinging from a hip yoke. Very popular in the early 80s.

I had several and I remember how you had to make sure you were wearing colorful, coordinating undies or tights underneath due to the fact that on breezy days those skirts would often billow upwards showing off more than your legs at times! :)

I had several of these, they were really fun to wear. Often accessorised with a tucked in blouse with a bowtie, and flat pumps with ankle socks.
