lots of rock and pop stars wore Wayfarers. I remember seeing them on Rob Fisher of Naked Eyes as well.

This was another 1950s style that was revived in the early 80s. In the 70s, aviators were the standard glasses style, worn by everyone. I remember Raybans being "the" thing to wear in 1983, ideally on a neck hanger.
