Oh, yes, and they were black. The best ones were had the band's tour schedule printed on the back because that meant you got it at the concert. That fashion, I'd have to say, peaked in '88-'90. I remember it as early as '83.

I love rocker tees!! I have a bunch of old tour shirts from New Order, Cabaret Voltaire, and Depeche Mode among many, many others! I love them!

I have a ton of these, mostly black. I am a big NIN fan, and have practically every one of their shirts.

I create funny t-shirts inspired by the 80's & 90's rock scene. Shirts that say stuff like: "I don't smoke, but I carry a lighter in case a power ballad breaks out." If you like rocker tees, I think you'll dig these: www.367Creative.com

Metallica Ride the Lightning! Just about every rocker on the side-lawn (smoking section) wore one of these!

Rocker tees were still popular well into the 90s. I remember the "big kids" having Metallica and Guns & roses ones when I was a little kid in the 80s. Then as a preteen in 94/95 I had a Nine inch nail one,Green day,Pearl Jam and Hole.IMHO there were some really creative ones in the 80s and 90s. The ones I see now are boring.
