I remember John Fluevog shoes (btw Fluevogs is the correct spelling for this thread). Very funky, almost too funky. And expensive!

They didn't just make pointy-toed shoes, though. The first thing that pops into my mind when I hear John Fluevog is the big, shaped platform shoes with bumpy toes and Louis heel that he did at the very end of the 80s and early 90s. Very popular stuff. I think Lady Miss Kier might be wearing a pair in Dee-Lite's 1989 "Groove Is In the Heart" video.

These were the main brand in Seattle that people wore instead of Doc Martins.
