Description
Sex: Male
Type of clothing: Accessory
When it was popular: Early 80s
Description: Always narrow (perhaps 1-1/4" wide at the base) and monochrome, these thin leather neckties were popular for about two years in my town. You could get away with wearing them no matter what crowd you hung out with. Even the heads would wear them occasionally. They were leather, after all!

They came in every color from white to black, brown, tan... you name it. Occasionally the girls would wear pastel colored ones.

Late 70s-early 80s. I had a rust-colored suede one, very narrow. Skinny black ones were the most popular. And it wasn't only girls who wore pastels in the 80s.
