When it was popular: 1983-89?
Description: Rockers and New Wavers favored these worn cowboy-style. The styles ran from western to bright checks to tiger stripes. You could also roll one, tie a triangle knot in it, and wear it with the knot in front with your Polo shirt, collar up, of course.

God I had a few of these. I used to wear them around my ankle, wrist and waist as a belt.
