I heard about this product but never actually saw any on the shelves. I live in a major metro area, so I'm thinking this product must have been test marketed only.

It's funny that you mention ginger-ale; that's how I remember the flavor as well but other websites mention that it was supposed to have a cinnamon flavor. Either way, I really liked the stuff and wish it were still around.

I remember them test marketing this, we got it all the way in Wyoming for some odd reason.

This was more like 7-up's version of DR. Pepper. It was spice flavored but tasted like Dr. Pepper to me.

I don't even remember this stuff!!! Did Iowa have this soda? I lived there when 7-up Gold came to be.

It had a spicy taste to it. Very good. I am glad that other people remember it.

I lived in CA when this came out, and I loved it. A lot of people I talk to don't even remember, but I do. They need to bring it back!

i lived in Ohio and had my fair share of 7up Gold when it was out in about '88. I've heard rumors that it contained lithium, maybe that's why it was so good, lol.

YES! I LOVED 7up Gold, it really sucks that it didn't last too long. I was just a kid, but I drank gold primarily over all other soda's back then. I was googling it, hoping that it was still around somewhere, but guess not. Please bring it back if your watching 7Up!!!

I LOVED this stuff! A great product that only failed due to misbranding and bad marketing. They should relaunch it as Dr. Pepper Gold, a brand that better matches the spicy flavor and caffeine content.

This stuff was hands down the best Soda ever. It tasted like a liquid, carbonated, gingerbread cookie. Very unique and awesome taste!

We had it in Central Oregon. Loved the Stuff. Reminds me of late nights watching Night Tracks on TBS and drinking 7up Gold.
