These were the best chips ever! I was pregnant in 1984 and these were my worst craving of all--I ate about a bag a day! Lays made them, and they were in the blue and white bag like the other Ruffles chips. They dropped out of sight a few years later.

they were awesome i ate bags and bags of theses chips, cant believe we cant get them in the us anymore, they were my fav in the late 80's...
I hated theses they were so gross.
They still make the Loaded Baked Potato Ruffles that are a lot like this.
They need to bring these chips back. I was addicted to them and need them back.
They were delicious, but it was sooo easy to get sick as a dog on them. - Not unlike a lot of "* & sour cream" flavored chips.
These are still available in Canada--they just introduced a new bag design last month
Holy crap these were the most disgusting chips ever I bought them thinking they'd be good me and my friends and my family all literally threw up when we tasted just one of these deadly "snacks". All you guys must have mental problems because those chips are almost as bad tasting as MAYONNAISE! And mayonnaise is, of course, the most repulsive, disgusting thing on planet Earth.
No they are so good! I only threw up in my mouth a little and got cancer and several other diseases! You are right! They taste like mayonnaise. Who likes mayonnaise? I do!
I live in quebec,I went to new Brunswick and tasted the sour cream and bacon chips,I am addiced to the flavor until I came back to quebec and can't find them anywhere.Can anybody tell them what stores i ca buy them if they still have any,i want those chips back.
I am very sure these chips were called"ruffles, bacon and sour cream". My sister Terri and I loved them. I hope the " sour cream and bacon" are as good. We heard they quit making them because people got sick.

When they sold in the USA they were awesome. I could eat a bag a day and not get sick.
If the y discontinued them because people got sick, it was only because once you opened the bag you ate the whole bag. Could not get enough of them. Wish they would bring them back. US now gets All Dressed, Pickle, and I even saw Ketchup chips which used to be only Canada. So maybe there will be hope. They need to also bring back O'Grady's Au Gratin chips. Those were awesome too!
