Description
I loved these!! They were chocolate flavored retangular shaped blocks. They came in packs like Big League Chew. They were supposed to look like a chewing tobacco plug. The flavor was a lot like Tootsie Rolls.

I would give anything if they would start making these again! Best freakin' candy EVER!

I never heard of these....I would have recalled it, the name sounds like a gay porn flick.

These were okay, but I only had one once.

I've been searching for anything that might duplicate the taste, but that wouldn't do. You would have to duplicate the texture as well. I used to love them, but they were very addictive.

I thought I was the only person that knew about this. Had one at Buckroe Beach Virginia in 1984 and saw the Lobster Man. WOW!

I've been wondering about the big league plug, best thing ever. They only made them for a little while wish they would start again.

NO ONE that I know has heard of a Big League Plug! I had ONE when I was a kid in 1983 or so. I remember the package had a manager on the cover, NOT a player. A really old manager... Like an "Old School" Tobacco Plug User. It had the consistency of a really thick brownie. Not bad. Thank you for at least confirming their existence! Anyone have a picture of the packaging?

Big League Plug was first released in 1982. I just did a short write-up over at CollectingCandy.com. An image of the package is there to be seen as well.

Holy Cow! I thought this was a misprint and we were talking about Big League Chew. But this is the Tobacco Style chocolate plug. Might barely remember this. Such a cool product

Big League Chew and Plug were from the same company, Amurol, out of Naperville, Illinois. Each had the same resealable pouch. Big League Plug didn't sell well (especially in hot weather), and was discontinued after a year or so.
