My sisters and I absolutely LOVED Black Cat gum!!! This goes back to the mid 70's. I recall the flavour when you first started to chew it as being almost black licorice in a way, then the sweetness of it hit you. A unique piece of the past, not even sure if it still exists???

you can still get Black Cat and some other retro gums online. Also, check out the Yummies website in Kittery, ME...they have an amazing selection of gums/candies that you probably figured were gone forever

I've been looking all over for Black Cat gum. It was the best...for flavour as well as bubble blowing! When I was a kid, instead of having those lame comics inside (Bazooka and Dubble Bubble) Black Cat featured "Flags of the World", with facts about each country. I learnt a lot.

Didn't eat much Black Cat Gum, but had a black cat named Blackie. What was the gun that was flat and about 6 inches long. Came in different flavors.

Whoever could bring back BLACK CAT bubble gum would be an immediate MILLIONAIRE!!! It's the one thing from the childhood of anyone from the 70s that we ALL want back! God I loved that stuff!!
